Parker Glenn grabs officer’s gun during takedown

20-year-old Parker James Glenn tried to grab Officer Cheyenne Taylor’s gun during an altercation in his apartment at The Arbours of Hermitage late April 1st. Glenn had four outstanding warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, so officers went to his unit to conduct a warrant service. When they arrived, his mother answered the door and told them she would bring Glenn to the door. He came to the door and opened it about 4-5 inches. The officers then asked Glenn to step outside, but he refused and slammed the door, smashing Officer Foote’s finger and leaving it bruised and swollen. The door also hit Officer Taylor in the nose, causing it to bleed. Then, officers forced entry to apprehend him, during which he ran into his bedroom and became resistive. While he resisted, he reached for Officer Taylor’s gun, and he was detained. Glenn was taken into custody for evading arrest, resisting arrest, two counts of assaulting an officer, and four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Richard Thorpe harasses bystanders after being kicked out of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk

47-year-old Richard Thorpe was escorted out of Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk by security at around 9:50 p.m. on March 24th. After this, officers observed Thorpe harassing bystanders outside of the bar. Officers approached him and attempted to provide him with a safe ride to his hotel. Thorpe showed multiple signs of impairment and could not give officers an address of where he would be staying for the night. So, officers deemed him a danger to not able to care for himself. Thorpe was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Demar Ballin pushes wife down stairs during argument

37-year-old Demar Ranaldo Ballin had a domestic altercation with his wife, Lamoy Monique Wallace, who was 33 weeks pregnant with their child at the time, at their Sunset Circle residence on the afternoon of May 4th, 2020. NFD transported Wallace to Nashville General Hospital on Albion Street, where she spoke with officers. Wallace advised officers that she and Ballin argued over him not turning down the music on his phone. During the argument, Wallace walked over to Ballin and slapped the phone out of his hand. Then Ballin pushed her down, causing her to hit a dresser, leaving an abrasion on her right forearm. Officers observed the injuries and deemed him as the primary aggressor. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On the morning of February 26th, 2024, Ballin and Wallace had another domestic dispute at his Hart Lane residence. Wallace spoke with officers when they arrived, advising them that she had come to get her W-2 from Ballin. Wallace advised that an argument ensued when she approached the front door. Wallace said that she wanted to step outside to talk, so she grabbed Ballin’s arm, which was when he put his hands around her throat and pushed her down the porch stairs onto the concrete. Officers observed Wallace’s visible injuries, which were consistent with her statement, and then went inside the house to speak with Ballin. Officers were then notified that Ballin had an outstanding warrant. Officers detained and Mirandized Ballin, during which he stated that Wallace tried to get him out of the house and hit him with an extension cord. Then, Ballin admitted to pushing her and was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Raquel Arias chases roommates with knife around home over stealing accusations

58-year-old Raquel Arias was involved in an altercation with her roommates at Donelson Pike on December 31st. The dispute began when Arias noticed money was missing from her room, so she grabbed a knife from the kitchen and knocked on her roommate’s door. She demanded that they give her the money that they took, banging on the door with the knife. When officers arrived, they made contact with the four victims. None of them could speak English, so officers utilized a language line to communicate with them. All of their statements were corroborated, and stated that Arias came out of her room and began accusing them of stealing her money. They also said that once she got the knife, she began to chase them around the house until they locked themselves in their rooms and called law enforcement. Arias was taken into custody and charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly assault.

George Fitzgerald, 68, offers to “lick the chest” of woman at Hermitage restaurant

68-year-old George Fitzgerald was at the Las Palmas restaurant in Hermitage with a group of individuals when he noticed Victoria Locke and Courtney Croft-Crawford, who were dining nearby. George told the women that after his group finished eating, he would return and buy them drinks. After his friend group returned, geriatric George returned inside the restaurant and sat across from the two women in a booth. He reportedly began to make crude comments, including how he would like to “see them together,” sexually. Courtney says he told her he wanted to “lick her chest,” while he began to rub Victoria’s leg under the table. He also reportedly groped one of the women, as well. They sought refuge at the hostess stand, and an employee accompanied them to their vehicle. The woman filed a report with the police, who were able to obtain video footage of the assault on the two women.

John Lepping jailed after urinating on building in downtown Nashville

21-year-old John Lepping was jailed early Sunday morning in downtown Nashville after police say he urinated on the side of the Rutledge building. He told officers that he knew he was in the wrong, and the business did not wish to prosecute. Officers took him into custody for public intoxication and transported him to booking.

Samya Simmons charged with shoplifting $78 of jewelry from JCPenney at Rivergate

21-year-old Samya Simmons was caught stealing out of JCPenney at the Rivergate Mall on October 30th. Simmons was seen on camera taking jewelry from a stand and concealing it without offering payment. The stolen items were valued at $78.00. Simmons was issued a citation and booked for shoplifting on November 21st.
