Street racer Joseph ‘Jojo’ Mikhail charged after Murfreesboro Pike maneuvers

19-year-old Joseph ‘Jojo’ Mikhail was driving his black 2013 Honda Civic alongside a black Ford Mustang and a red Infiniti on January 22nd on Murfreesboro Pike at a high rate of speed. He maneuvered into the center turn lane and used it to pass several other vehicles. All three drivers continued at high rates of speed in a ‘pack,’ displaying a disregard for the safety of themselves and others, according to police. He is charged with drag racing and reckless driving.

Talha Ahmad charged after doing donuts in Antioch parking lot

Police say 19-year-old Talha Ahmad was doing donuts in his red 2010 Infiniti QX60 in a Hickory Hollow parking lot on January 28th at 5 p.m. Officers observed a children’s function ongoing nearby where the car was doing donuts. He was issued a citation for reckless driving and was booked on that citation this week.

Lucas Sosa, 38, charged with drag racing in his Ford F-150 truck in Antioch

Police say 38-year-old Lucas Sosa was drag racing his blue 2013 Ford F-150 against another pickup truck on Antioch Pike on June 18th, but the observing officer was too far back in traffic to conduct a traffic stop initially. Both trucks were caught by a red light traffic signal a short time later, and the officer was able to catch up and observed them drag racing a second time. The other vehicle slowed down and ceased racing; however, Sosa continued speeding through traffic and weaving around other vehicles until he was stopped.

Street Racer Bavly Fawzi clocked at 111 mph on Murfreesboro Pike

18-year-old TSU Student Bavly Fawzi is charged with drag racing after he was clocked at 111 mph by an officer working the Street Racing Initiative on Murfreesboro Pike. He was quickly catching up to the vehicle 400 feet ahead of him, which was clocked at 97 mph.

Joseph Crutchfield charged with drag racing & marijuana in Nashville’s street racing initiative crackdown

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the “Street Racing Initiative” say they observed 24-year-old Joseph Crutchfield III racing another vehicle and passing cars on Murfreesboro Pike near Morton Lane. He was traveling at high rates of speed. Police caught up with him on the 3700 block of Nolensville Pike and conducted a traffic stop to take him into custody. During an inventory search of his vehicle, a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia was located, for which he was also charged.

MNPD Street Racing Initiative results in arrests, citations, and fireworks shot at a police helicopter.

Overnight, MNPD conducted the “Street Racer” initiative resulting in multiple arrests, fireworks shot at a helicopter, a large number of fireworks seized, multiple violations and citations, one towed vehicle, and one that got away from police.
