Tyler Dixon steals two 24-packs of Bud Light on Christmas Eve

39-year-old Tyler Dixon was caught stealing at the Shell Station on Hermitage Avenue late Christmas Eve. Johnisha Denise Hodges, a Shell Station employee, advised officers that a black male dressed as a woman walked into the store, grabbed two 24-packs of Bud Light, and exited without paying for them. She stated the store has an active trespass file regarding Dixon and is seeking prosecution for trespassing and theft. Officers observed him walking down Almond Street carrying the Bud Light, which he later admitted to stealing. They found a glass pipe in his purse during a subsequent search, and he told them it was used to smoke crack cocaine. Additionally, they were notified about an arrest warrant he has out of Bedford County. Dixon was taken into custody for theft of merchandise, criminal trespass, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia on December 25th.

Cody Nelson drunkenly charges at friend group downtown, fights them

35-year-old Cody Edward Nelson had a scuffle on Broadway the morning of December 17th. Officers broke up the fight, and Nelson tried to flee. They told him not to leave and that he was detained, and he said, “No.” The other party involved advised officers that Nelson was following their group, began screaming at them, and charged at them when they were crossing the road. Officers spoke with Nelson, who was visibly intoxicated. They believed he was considered a possible threat to himself and others, so he was placed into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Jacob McFadden found sleeping in parking garage

23-year-old Jacob William McFadden was sleeping in a corner of the parking garage on Pine Street this past weekend. Officers were patrolling, observed this, and asked McFadden how he got there or where he was staying, but he was unable to answer. McFadden was visibly intoxicated, and when officers offered him a ride, he kept saying, “tired.” and that he was staying “here.” pointing at the corner where he was sleeping. Officers asked if he could call a friend or anything, but he continued to give nonsensical answers. McFadden was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Patrick Robinson repeatedly steps into traffic, forced to stop

44-year-old Patrick Robinson was jailed early Thursday morning after reports of a male on John Lewis Way stepping into the road and jumping in front of passing vehicles. While officers spoke with Robinson, he repeatedly stepped off the sidewalk and into the street. Officers commanded him to stop, but he continued to step into the road and was taken into custody.

Stephanie Lavalley drunkenly yells racial slurs at officers

28-year-old Stephanie Lynn Lavalley was drunk at One Hotel on the morning of November 12th. Officers were dispatched regarding a kidnapping and spoke with Lavalley, who was visibly intoxicated and repeatedly asked what happened to her baby, who she later said was in New Jersey. One of the hotel staff members spoke with officers and advised them that Lavalley walked up to her and said a man in a van attempted to kidnap her. The staff provided footage of the incident showing that Lavalley arrived in a minivan, walked away, turned around, ran back, got into the front seat, and spoke with the driver as he handed her his phone. Then, Lavalley exited the van, ran back again, and opened the doors to look for something; the driver walked over to her and spoke with her before she walked to the hotel staff. Officers asked Lavalley where she was staying and who she was with. Lavalley could not answer, so they placed her under arrest. Lavalley then began to yell racial slurs, telling the officers that they had small penises and that she would be laughing when their mother died. Then, she began to laugh maniacally in the back of the patrol car as she was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Destiny Fleming hits parked vehicle, only had “One Drink” at Batters Box Bar

29-year-old Destiny Fleming was involved in a car accident at The Batter’s Box Bar on November 8th. Officers spoke with Erica Scott, a witness to the incident, as they arrived, who advised them that she had seen Fleming drinking in the bar before leaving and attempting to open the door of a car that looked like hers but was not. Scott stated that Fleming then got into her car, began to drive, and backed into a parked truck. Thomas Ruggio, another witness, told officers that Fleming attempted to get in his vehicle after stumbling out of the bar. Deputies spoke with Fleming, who said to them that she went into The Batter’s Box after she got off work and had “one drink.” Officers observed her to be visibly intoxicated as she insisted that she only got into her car to park in a different spot so her friend could come pick her up. Fleming refused to take sobriety tests or give a breath sample and was charged with driving under the influence and implied consent.

Madelyn Blevin jailed downtown after drunkenly fighting with a man and police officers

22-year-old Madelyn Blevin was fighting with a man on the sidewalk of 7th Ave when police intervened on September 21st. After being separated, Madelyn got into the police officer’s face and began cursing at them. She kept walking towards the male she was fighting with, and the police told her not to, so she continued to get in their faces. Police noticed a smell of alcohol on Madelyn as she refused to back off of them. They attempted to place her into custody, and she resisted by locking her arms, pulling, and walking away. She continued to pull away from the police, but they eventually were able to take her into custody and transport her to booking.

Australian tourist Christopher Park tells police, “do what you got to do!” #Arrested

54-year-old Christopher Park was not wanted at the Holiday Inn and Suites Hotel on 4th Ave, as staff told police when they showed up on September 16th. A complainant told police that she did not want to prosecute Christopher, who was also staying at the hotel. The hotel security asked the MNPD officers who arrived just to escort Christopher off the property. Security and the officers contacted Christopher in his hotel room, and the security told him that he was no longer allowed to stay on the premises and needed to vacate. Christopher told them, “That’s not going to happen.” The officers told him that he would have to leave or be charged with criminal trespass, to which he responded, “Do what you got to do.” Police gave him several chances to leave, but instead, Christopher sat down in his room and refused to comply with police commands.

Jacob McDaniel searches downtown for his Miller Lite after leaving strip club

28-year-old Jacob McDaniel asked the police, who arrived at the Greyhound Bus Station on Rep John Lewis Way, where his Miller Lite was, and told them that he was “Public intoxicated.” Police said that he was swaying and had signs of being intoxicated. He told police that he was drinking at the Hustler strip club and he lives in Smyrna. Also, he could not call an Uber due to him having no money nor a cell phone to call someone to pick him up. After he could not remember a phone number for the police to call, he was placed into custody for public intoxication.

Tiffany Rutledge jailed after bathroom squatting at Renaissance Hotel in Nashville

49-year-old Tiffany Rutledge was in the second-floor bathroom of the Renaissance Hotel and refused to leave when security called the police. They said that there has been an ongoing issue with Tiffany trespassing onto the property, one time was last Friday when she was asked to leave and refused. She was banned from the location, and police confirmed a current trespass waiver on file for the hotel. Security escorted police to the second-floor bathroom, where they contacted Tiffany. She told them she knew she was not supposed to be on the property and was arrested for trespassing.
