DUI: Local Musician Colin Bowling drives through police roadblock, tells police he “just finished playing a gig”

23-year-old Local Musician Colin Thomas Bowling drove around a prohibited area near Spence Lane and Marwood Lane in the early hours of July 21st. Police set up a roadblock to provide NES with a safe area to work on the fallen tree and powerlines. Officers activated their emergency equipment and directed traffic, prohibiting drivers from entering where the tree had fallen. Bowling drove his Jeep up to the roadblock, and the police instructed him to turn around over the PA system. Bowling disregarded their instructions and continued driving where they were working. Officers approached his Jeep and asked why he drove through the roadblock. While Bowling was speaking, officers noticed he reeked of alcohol and had a nearly empty glass bottle containing alcohol in the backseat. Officers also noticed he had three empty beer cans in his passenger door panel. Bowling stated he “just finished playing a gig” at a local bar, where he consumed two alcoholic beverages. He added that he drove the female lead singer of the band home and was heading home before being stopped. Bowling consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, Bowling agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.131% BAC. Bowling was then taken into custody for driving under the influence and failure to yield for an emergency vehicle.

DUI: Dominique Jackson found passed out in car, tells police Waffle House messed up his order

33-year-old Dominique Jackson was seen passed out behind the wheel at Waffle House on Murfreesboro Road on June 29th. Security informed officers that the driver and passenger of a vehicle were passed out in a car. Security claimed the pair had been there for almost two hours and attempted to wake them up but could not. Security also told officers that there was an open container of alcohol in the center console and that the driver appeared to be intoxicated. When officers arrived, they spoke with Jackson as he returned to the driver’s seat. When asked what was going on, Jackson told officers that Waffle House had messed up his order. When officers requested Jackson to perform sobriety tests, he agreed. However, Jackson showed numerous indicators of intoxication in two of the three tests. Officers also observed Jackson’s red, watery eyes before speaking with the passenger. When asked, the vehicle’s passenger informed officers that The Club Cocktail’s can was not hers. Jackson was deemed intoxicated and was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Ferhat Akin blows .139% BAC after ignoring police attempting to pull him over

30-year-old Ferhat Akin drove between two travel lanes without using his turn signals near Lebanon Pike in the early hours of May 13th. Officers observed this and initiated a traffic stop, during which Akin continued driving for about a mile and had no explanation for not initially stopping. When officers spoke with Akin, he showed signs of impairment and admitted to having one alcoholic beverage. He consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Akin was informed of implied consent and agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.139% BAC. Akin was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Tyquan Allen refuses to leave after taking nap on hallway floor in The Sleep Inn Hotel

18-year-old Tyquan Allen was taken into custody for criminal trespass on May 11th. Officers arrived at The Sleep Inn Hotel on Percy Priest Drive, where they observed Allen sleeping on the floor in the hallway. After multiple attempts, officers woke him up, during which he refused to provide them or Caleb Collins, the hotel manager, with his information to figure out if he had a hotel room. Then, after being told to leave the property, Allen refused. He was detained for the occurrence.

Alexis Abernathy punches boyfriend in face during argument at nightclub

24-year-old Alexis Abernathy had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Armand Etienne, at Glo Best Western Nashville early May 11th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Etienne, who stated that Abernathy punched him during an argument while they were at a nightclub. Then, officers located Abernathy leaning on the hallway wall, struggling to stand independently. When they questioned her about the incident, she admitted to having a dispute with Etienne. Abernathy also admitted that she struck Etienne in the face. Then, while trying to find her ID in her purse, Abernathy fell to the ground, and officers noticed a clear small baggie that contained 6 grams of marijuana. Abernathy was taken into custody for public intoxication, simple possession, and domestic assault.

Chassati French kicks ex-boyfriend’s car during argument

38-year-old Chassati French was involved in a domestic dispute with her ex-boyfriend, Lakota Bell, at her Lewis Street townhome complex on April 14th. Law enforcement arrived at the complex and gained access to camera footage of the incident. Officers observed French kicking the hood of Bell’s Chrysler 200 and instigating an argument with him. Bell was seen disengaging from French multiple times while on the phone with dispatch during the altercation. Surveillance also showcased French getting close to Bell’s face and throwing multiple punches toward Bell. Chassati French was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault on April 19th.

18-Year-Old Stasia Ingram breaks boyfriend’s $350 laptop during argument at Drake Motel

18-year-old Stasia Ingram had a domestic incident with Javaughn White, her boyfriend, at the Drake Motel on Murfreesboro Pike in the early hours of March 25th. When officers arrived, they spoke with White, who stated he and Ingram had a verbal altercation because he was “not communicating with her as she desired.” White said that this made her angry, which was when she took a box of McDonald’s French fries and poured them on him. White added that her actions were offensive and provocative. As the dispute continued, Ingram broke his $350 laptop in half. Ingram was deemed as the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Drunk and Naked: Damien Newman refuses to leave gas station

23-year-old Damien Newman refused to leave the Shell Gas Station on Fesslers Lane in the early hours of March 11th. When detectives arrived, Newman was outside of the Shell, fully naked, showing signs of intoxication. Officers asked him where his clothes were, but he had no response. Newman was deemed a danger to himself and taken into custody for public indecency and public intoxication.

Gustavo Caal Mo assaults wife after accusing her of “talking to another man”

32-year-old Gustavo Caal Mo was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Angelina Hernandez, at their Highland on Briley apartment on March 9th. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and found Hernandez, who was inside an ambulance due to her injuries. Hernandez stated that Caal Mo got upset with her because he believed that she was “talking to another man.” Hernandez then said that during their dispute, Caal Mo punched her in the head, causing a laceration to her eyebrow. Before officers left the scene, they observed a man matching Caal Mo’s description inside a gray Toyota Corolla driving around the apartment complex. A traffic stop was conducted, and Caal Mo was taken into custody. Once Mirandized, Caal Mo admitted to hitting Hernandez in the head. There was also camera footage of the incident provided to law enforcement. Caal Mo was taken into custody on March 10th.

Boyfriend charged with assault after flipping pool table, getting hit with a steel toe boot

26-year-old Caleb Collins was charged with aggravated assault after he reportedly strangled his boyfriend, assaulted him, and flipped over a pool table during an argument about him wanting to do cocaine.
