Aaron Edwards flees to his home after striking another vehicle in crash

20-year-old Aaron Conner Edwards was driving in Antioch when he struck another vehicle driven by Geneva Wilkerson. He fled from the scene of the accident and drove to his home on Towne Village Rd, where he told his mother he crashed into a pole. He was outside when officers approached and fled inside the home when they commanded him to stop. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with evading arrest and failure to file a report. 

DUI: Vanderbilt Doctor Derrick Sowder hits motorcycle rider & flees the scene

43-year-old Vanderbilt Doctor Derrick Sowder was jailed on April 15th for a hit and run on Lebanon Pike. A witness provided police with Sowder’s license plate number, and they found him parking his vehicle in his driveway as they arrived. There was significant damage to his vehicle, consistent with the crash that took place approximately a mile away. Sowder told police that he had been hit by an unknown vehicle and drove home without stopping after the crash. Sowder appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to drinking a glass of wine about 3 hours before the crash. His speech was slow and slurred, and he had watery bloodshot eyes. Mr. Sowder’s boyfriend, James Lindsey, took a rideshare to his house after hearing about the crash and told police that He and Sowder each had about four glasses of wine at his house before Mr. Sowder left to drive home. Mr. Sowder hit Elliot Mullins on a motorcycle, and he suffered a compound fracture to his leg.

DUI: Police knock on Jordan Rafferty’s door when she simply goes home after a hit-and-run

27-year-old Jordan Rafferty blew a 0.183% BAC on a breathalyzer when police eventually tracked her down and knocked on her door after she crashed her silver Mazda sedan into a flatbed construction vehicle on Murphy Road and fled the scene. Her car sustained “severe front end damage” and was located in the parking lot of her apartment complex with all airbags deployed. She claims someone at the scene told her to drive home and not worry about it. Witnesses at the scene say she fled the scene as quickly as she collided with the truck. Her Instagram story revealed her at a table with drinks at Otto’s Bar just before the hit-and-run. Rafferty admitted to having “a few glasses” of wine.

Daylon Wall booked on warrants charging him with fleeing scene of accident

Police say 29-year-old Daylon Wall was involved in a motor vehicle crash on South 2nd Street and when an officer directed bother drivers to pull onto Crutcher Street to lessen the impact to traffic flow, Wall accelerated and fled the scene. Warrants for his arrest were issued on January 24th, and he was booked into jail on those warrants Wednesday.
