Garth Brooks charged in shameless domestic assault of his girlfriend; what she’s doing now

28-year-old Garth Brooks recently had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend and mother of his child, Kashawna Jordan, at her Southwood Park Place apartment. Before officers arrived, Kashawna’s sister observed Kashawna and Brooks scuffling and alerted police. Responding officers noticed signs of a struggle and discovered that Kashawna had left beforehand, so they interviewed everyone separately. Kashawna’s mother advised them that Kashawna and Brooks fought after arguing inside the apartment, during which she tried to stop them. After this, she said Kashawna ran outside, where Brooks followed, and by the time she caught up to them, Brooks was on top of her, striking her. Her mother added that Kashawna had left with an unknown friend for safety, and Brooks returned to the apartment. Brooks initially denied any physical contact with Kashawna but then admitted to chasing after her because he did not want her to leave. Then, Kashawna’s sister told officers that she called them after hearing the fight, which she briefly saw before it continued outside. Brooks was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault on June 25th.

Nevaeh Ayers smacks & punches roommate during argument over items in their apartment

20-year-old Nevaeh Ayers had a domestic altercation with her roommate, Mason Davis, at his Arbor Creek Way apartment around midnight on May 8th. Davis alerted the authorities, advising them that he and Ayers had been roommates for two months. Davis added that she attacked him and tried stealing his belongings before leaving. When officers arrived, they noticed Davis had multiple visible injuries on his chest and arms. Davis then explained that Ayers started to argue with him over certain items in the apartment, so he decided to lock himself in his bedroom to avoid further conflict. Then, he said, Ayers entered his room through their shared bathroom. Davis said she then started smacking and punching him. Davis told officers that he had to grab Ayers by the waist, pull her out of his room, and lock the bathroom door before calling the police. Officers deemed Ayers the primary aggressor and obtained a warrant for her arrest. Ayers was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 19th.

Jorge Cancho crashes into pickup truck on I-40 East, leaves driver with life-threatening injuries

18-year-old Jorge Cancho was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on I-40 East near Mile Marker 216 late April 29th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Cancho, who admitted to not having a valid driver’s license or insurance on his black 2013 Ford Fusion, which they later confirmed via ARMS. The other involved party was transported to Vanderbilt with life-threatening injuries. Cancho later advised that he collided with a pickup truck and then struck a pedestrian on the interstate. Cancho was taken into custody for no driver’s license and a financial responsibility violation involving injury or death.

DUI: Laura Nieves swerves out of lane after drinking bottle of Corona

35-year-old Laura Nieves swerved left, out of her travel lane, and nearly collided with another vehicle on Bell Road in the early hours of April 12th. Officers were patrolling the area near Couchville Pike when they observed this, so they initiated a traffic stop and noticed she showed signs of impairment. Additionally, officers saw a case of Corona on the passenger seat, an empty Corona bottle on the floor with liquid spilled around it, and another opened, half-full Corona behind the passenger seat. Nieves told officers she was coming from JB’s Pour House, where she went after leaving work. She reeked of alcohol as she consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After officers read implied consent to Nieves, she refused to provide a chemical sample. Nieves was taken into custody for an implied consent violation, an open container violation, and driving under the influence.

Jeremy Anderson caught with cocaine, loaded gun while driving stolen Chevy Colorado

33-year-old Jeremy Lincoln Anderson was sitting in the front passenger seat of a stolen, white 2005 Chevy Colorado at the Parliament Place Apartments on Glastonbury Road early on March 20th. Officers observed that the Chevrolet had a temporary white tag covering a blue plate, which they knew concealed the vehicle’s registration; they approached it, located Anderson, and took photos of the VIN through the windshield. Officers noticed a black crossbody-style bag next to him and asked if there were any guns, to which he said there wasn’t. Officers then ran the VIN and discovered that the Chevy was reported stolen by Dustin Perrigo on March 13th in Davidson County. When they reapproached the vehicle, Anderson was outside, leaning into the passenger window. Officers told Anderson to come to the truck’s rear and sit on the tailgate. Officers then searched the Chevy and located a polymer 80 semi-automatic handgun under the front passenger seat. The gun had no serial number, was assembled with various parts, and was loaded with one round in the chamber with an additional 28 rounds in an extended magazine. Officers learned Anderson had previously been convicted of robbery, multiple counts of aggravated assault, and drug possession in Weakley County, TN, as well as two schedule VI drug charges in Knox County. Anderson was detained and searched, where officers found a straw with a folded piece of paper with residue. Anderson was then Mirandized, under Miranda, Anderson told officers that the gun was not his and that he had been picked up in the Chevy. Anderson added that he did not know the driver’s name but had “seen him around.” Anderson added that he did not call him for the ride and did not know that the car was stolen or that the gun was in there. Officers lifted prints from the rearview mirror and turned them in. They discovered additional straws in a black bag in the pickup truck, as well as a plastic bag with .2 grams of cocaine in his pants pocket. Anderson was taken into custody for joyriding, simple possession, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Zoey Sovereign steals mother’s bank card to buy alcohol

22-year-old Zoey Sovereign was in a Nashville hotel with her mother on September 1 when her mother woke up to find Zoey was gone and her purse had been opened, with her credit card missing. She was located at a nearby Mapco, where she had purchased alcohol and attempted to get into a vehicle with two men, who pushed her out of their car. She was visibly intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She refused to return back to the hotel room and was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Malcole Ayers blows double legal limit after hit-and-run in Antioch

24-year-old Malcole Ayers was jailed on July 16th after a hit-and-run near Bell Road. The victim of the accident reported that a grey Mercedes hit his vehicle and continued to drive away. He followed the Mercedes to Southpoint Apartments, where police arrived shortly after. Ms. Ayers admitted to hitting the vehicle and driving off because she was scared. Both vehicles had damages as a result of the crash. Police could smell alcohol coming from Ms. Ayers, and her eyes were bloodshot. She admitted to police that she had three shots of tequila earlier that night. Ms. Ayers agreed to perform sobriety tests and displayed multiple indicators of impairment. She also blew a .164 BAC on the breathalyzer.

Jerry Woiderski charged in late-night DUI on Murfreesboro Pike

36-year-old Jerry Woiderski was driving on Murfreesboro Pike just before 2 a.m. Thursday and abruptly came to a stop at a green light near Knight Valley Drive. He then continued to drive and cross over the dividing line and was pulled over by an observing officer. He reportedly smelled of vomit and alcohol and had trouble standing. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He later blew a 0.187% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Avery Matthews charged with DUI in Airport Center Drive parking lot

39-year-old Avery Matthews was charged with DUI late Thursday night after parking his white Kia Sedan into a no-trespass zone at Airpark Center Dr. – where officers were patrolling for street racers. Officers saw the car parked with exhaust coming from the back and later confirmed keys were still in the ignition. When officers approached Matthews, he had extremely slurred speech and bloodshot watery eyes. Officers could smell the strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Matthews told police he was in the parking lot to drop off a female partner before going home. He denied drinking any alcohol, although there was a half-empty bottle of Vodka on the passenger floorboard. Matthews refused sobriety tests and the blood sample. During the vehicle search, police discovered a half-empty bottle of Vodka, a completely empty bottle of Vodka, and a Corona bottle. After running Matthews’s name, it was discovered that he was arrested twice before for DUI in Illinois.

Wendy Paz-Henriquez charged in assault of boyfriend during fit of rage — $100 bond

Metro Nashville Police responded to a domestic call late Saturday night to find Noel Charias-Chocan outside of his apartment crying, alongside his child. Officers observed multiple scratches on his neck and chest. He explained his girlfriend, 28-year-old Wendy Paz-Henriquez, who also lives in the same complex, suddenly assaulted him during an argument. Both parties had been drinking. She was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.
