Steven Clarke Jr. causes crash, goes home like nothing happened

22-year-old Steven Clarke Jr. was involved in a hit-and-run collision near Saundersville Road and Andrew Jackson Parkway on the night of March 30th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the other driver, Ashley Noble, and two witnesses, Aaron Boyd and David Foster. They advised officers that a white sedan drove into Noble’s vehicle, leaving bruises and cuts on her face, and left the scene. One of the witnesses added that he followed Clarke Jr. to a Morgan Drive address. Officers went and located a white sedan with heavy front-end damage, which matched the description they were given. When officers arrived, Clarke Jr.’s father approached them, and they asked him if he had been driving the car. Clarke Jr.’s father replied, “No, that was my son. He is inside.” He then went to retrieve Clarke Jr. for the police. When Clarke Jr. came back outside, officers noticed he had a laceration on his lip consistent with having been in a vehicle collision. Clarke Jr. also showed signs of disorientation and matched Noble’s description. During the officers’ investigation, they located a beer can on the floorboard of his vehicle. Clarke Jr. was taken into custody for failure to file a report of an accident with injury or damage, failure to give information/render aid, leaving the scene of an accident, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

Jeffrey Musick crashes his car, walks home like nothing happened

29-year-old Jeffrey Tyler Musick had a single-vehicle accident in his Jeep Gladiator near Stewarts Ferry Pike and the I-40 West Entrance on the night of February 22nd. When officers arrived, they noticed the Jeep on the center median divider with damage to the front windshield and the driver’s side airbags deployed. Officers ran the registration and found that the owner, Musick, lived about five minutes from the scene on Boulder Park Drive, so they went to his residence. Officers met with Musick, who answered the door, officers immediately noticed Musick had visible injuries to his forehead consistent with him hitting it on the windshield in the Jeep. Musick also had chest injuries consistent with car airbags deploying. Musick told officers that he had gone to the bar earlier that evening, where he had a few beers, and then walked home after leaving the scene. However, Musick denied that he had driven from the establishment. Musick declined medical treatment, was detained, and then cited for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. Musick failed to book himself on the citations, so a bench warrant was issued, which he was taken into custody for on March 14

DUI: Samantha Allen attempts to run over police officers in BMW i3, crashes into yard

38-year-old Samantha Jo Allen was being disorderly near Southside Place on the night of March 4th. When officers arrived, Allen’s friends advised them that she had been consuming alcohol before driving off in her black BMW. After a brief search, officers located her in an alleyway behind Southside Place, lying back in the driver’s seat of her BMW i3, fully reclined. When officers approached the car, they shined a flashlight through the window, causing Allen to jump up in her seat and become responsive. Allen exhibited multiple indicators of intoxication, such as having bloodshot eyes. When Allen noticed the officers, she began reversing her BMW, nearly hitting Officers Bene, Mendoza, and Ireland. Then, officers told her to park her car and exit, which she ignored as she maneuvered past them, nearly hitting them again before she fled. After officers searched the area, they found Allen near 9th Circle South and Olympic Street, where she had crashed her BMW into a yard, hitting a parked car. Allen started running away between two nearby houses until detectives pursued her and told her to stop, which she complied with. Allen was taken into custody for driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and three counts of aggravated assault on a first responder on March 6th.

DUI: Seth Andresen takes 120mg of Methadone before crashing Chevy Avalanche

30-year-old Seth Andresen had a head-on collision in his Chevy Avalanche at the intersection of Harding Place and Jonquil Drive in the early hours of February 22nd. After crashing, Andresen fled the crash and drove away on Harding Place toward Antioch Pike. Andresen was seen swerving out of his lane and seemed to have briefly fallen asleep at the green light before accelerating again. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. Anderson pulled into a nearby parking lot and exited his Avalanche before approaching the patrol car. Officers announced themselves and instructed Andresen to put his hands behind his back, which he refused. Then, Andresen began to push officers, forcing officers to use a takedown maneuver to detain him. Andresen showed multiple signs of impairment as officers Mirandized him. Andresen then became combative, refusing to have a conversation with officers. Officers spoke with Lisa Skimehorn, a counselor at a nearby clinic, who advised officers that Andresen had seen her about an hour before the incident. Skimehorn advised that Andresen took a dosage of 120mg of Methadone. After officers investigated, it was determined that Andresen was responsible for more than $1,500 worth of damage in the crash. Officers also learned that Andresen had a prior DUI conviction from Indiana in 2017. Andresen was taken into custody for implied consent, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence-2nd offense.

China Rose charged after fleeing scene of a hit-and-run

26-year-old China Rose was issued a citation on December 5th after a hit-and-run incident on Laurenwood Drive in Antioch. Officers located the owner of the 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Rose admitted to officers that she had just been involved in a crash and left the scene immediately after. Rose was issued a state citation for leaving the scene of an accident and was booked on the charge this week.
