18-year-old Eerin Phillips was charged with domestic assault on July 21st when police arrived at Murfreesboro Pike to a call for possible burglary and found her father, Burmell Phillips, who stated that Eerin and her sisters assaulted him. Eerin told police that she bit her father’s hand in an attempt to get her mother’s keys back; police noted that they saw fresh bite marks on Burmell’s hand.
Vanessa Scales says she was at 404 Bar & Grill with a group of friends, while her ex-boyfriend, 32-year-old Elijah Leavens, was also there with another group of people. She claims Elijah “was jealous of her new boyfriend” and started an argument with the new beau. When she stepped in between them to de-escalate the situation, she says Elijah became aggressive and bit her middle finger on her left hand. An arrest warrant did not explicitly state why a single middle finger on her left hand was the only one available for biting.
34-year-old Maria Cucue says her boyfriend, Allen Calvillo used the fingers on his hand to text other women. Police say that during an argument on Saturday she bit Allen’s hand. She latched onto his hand with her mouth so hard that Allen says he had to hit her on the back of her head “a few times” to get her to release her grip.
26-year-old Quimeshia Heard is charged with domestic assault after a citizen called police to report a couple was fighting inside a blue Hyundai Sonata which was traveling on a local roadway. Once officers located the vehicle and made a traffic stop, they found the victim driving the vehicle, identified as Kenneth Ferguson. He was bleeding and had visible injuries to his hands. Quimesha admitted they were arguing over “something stupid” when she punched him and then bit his hand while he was driving, causing a considerable injury. Heard is free on a $1,500 bond.
26-year-old Latressa Penniman was charged with domestic assault after she strangled her boyfriend during an argument until he couldn’t breathe.
