Kathryn Smith — too drunk and disorderly for downtown Nashville at 5 p.m.

41-year-old Kathryn Smith was found walking in traffic at 4th & Commerce in downtown Nashville at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officers contacted her to check on her welfare and found her to be extremely intoxicated. She point at a parking garage and stated it was her hotel. She became increasingly aggressive with officers who were attempting to find an alternate way to her hotel, but she was uncooperative. Unable to be left alone in traffic, Smith was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Nashville’s Liberty Tax owner Sean Connor jailed while leaving the country for open warrant

44-year-old Sean Connor, the owner of Nashville’s Liberty Tax and front-man of The Southern Gothic, was attempting to fly out of the country Monday night when agents from Customs & Border Patrol at the Nashville International Airport were alerted of an active warrant for his arrest, out of Manatee County, Florida. They confirmed the warrant was extraditable and placed him into custody. Connor’s attorney was able to get his bond reduced to $5,000, which he posted in cash and avoided extradition to Florida.

Karla Sparks slaps a woman in downtown Nashville in front of police officers

29-year-old Karla Sparks and her friend were yelling, “that crackhead robbed us and assaulted me!” as downtown officers noticed them on Broadway in front of Lucky Bastard Saloon late Saturday night in downtown Nashville. Officers determined to gather more information, but both individuals were very uncooperative and refused to give any more information. They began to yell at officers to “Arrest her!” but would not give any further information on what occurred or why. As officers began to speak with the other involved individual, Sparks ran up and smacked her in the face in front of officers. She was taken into custody for the assault of Janna Forsythe, and disorderly conduct.

Tourist Josie Yuede jailed after wild drunken night in downtown Nashville

29-year-old Josie Yuede and her friend were yelling, “that crackhead robbed us and assaulted me!” as downtown officers noticed them on Broadway in front of Lucky Bastard Saloon late Saturday night in downtown Nashville. Officers determined to gather more information, but both individuals were very uncooperative and refused to give any more information. They began to yell at officers to “Arrest her!” but would not give any further information on what occurred or why. As officers began to speak with Yuede’s friend, Yuede yelled and screamed threats at the victim, while her friend ran up and smacked her in the face. Yuede was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct for her drunken antics.

Jonathan Bird charged in late-night DUI after drinking in downtown Nashville

34-year-old Jonathan Bird and his friend were coming from drinking in downtown Nashville late Friday night when Bird, who was driving, crashed the vehicle near Fesslers Lane and Lebanon Pike. Officers believed him to be under the influence, and he agreed to participate in field sobriety tests. He performed poorly on every test, indicating signs of impairment. He later admitted to having “two strong Crown and Coke” drinks, along with a 24 oz Budweiser earlier on his way home from work.

Victor Garcia — too drunk for downtown Nashville

39-year-old Victor Garcia was found “slumped over and swaying back and forth” on the sidewalk on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning. Officers spoke with him to check on his welfare and noticed he reeked of alcohol. Garcia agreed to get a rideshare, but then realized he didn’t have a phone with him, and didn’t know the numbers of anyone to retrieve him. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Tourist Austin Hubbart charged in brutal assault of wife in Nashville AirBNB

27-year-old Austin Hubbart and his wife, Megan, were visiting Nashville this weekend from Villa Grove, Illinois. The couple was drinking on Broadway Saturday night before returning to their AirBNB on Harmony Way. Both had been drinking in excess, and Austin threw up in the Uber on the way to the AirBNB. He became angry after that, and his rage continued once at their destination. She says he pushed her to the ground, where he repeatedly kicked her in the head and body multiple times, causing her to lose consciousness for an unknown amount of time. Once she awoke, she found him in the bed asleep and called police. Officers took Austin into custody and charged him with felony aggravated assault.

Russell Tinney found walking naked in roadway near Nashville Airport

36-year-old Russell Tinney was found completely naked and walking in the middle of the roadway on Knights of Columbus Blvd near BN Drive Saturday evening. Airport Police responded to the call and identified Tinny, who is from South Carolina, and said he was extremely intoxicated. He was placed into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Matthew Keith says “everything went black” while drinking in downtown Nashville

23-year-old Matthew Keith was observed swaying around the stop sign at the intersection of Harrison & 5th in downtown Nashville Saturday in an extreme state of intoxication. He told officers he had been drinking on Broadway and repeatedly asked where he was at. He further stated he was drinking with his friends when “everything went black.” He was given an opportunity to provide an address to be taken to or to contact his friends, but was unsuccessful in both tasks. He was a danger to himself in his condition and was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Lauren Rearick charged in DUI Crash after drinking “two margaritas” at bartaco

23-year-old Lauren Rearick told police she had “two margaritas’ at bartaco” before crashing her car on Gallatin Pike early Sunday morning. There were no injuries in the accident, and she was determined to be the at-fault driver. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and later blew a 0.130% BAC on a breathalyzer.
