Malea Rhea flees from police & weaves through traffic on Old Hickory Blvd

21-year-old Malea Rhea was arrested for evading, reckless driving, and resisting arrest on October 16th. Officer Short observed Rhea speeding past him in a brown SUV weaving in and out of traffic on Old Hickory Blvd. and activated his emergency equipment. Rhea continued to weave in and out of traffic to flee and was out of sight of the officers until she was seen exiting the vehicle about a mile down the roadway, after she ran off the roadway. Rhea was taken into custody during a traffic stop.

Armani Sparks jailed with 1 gram of marijuana on TSU campus after evading police — $9K bond

19-year-old Armani Sparks was jailed in the early hours of Friday morning after detectives observed a Gray Dodge Durango swerving in and out of lanes on Jefferson Street. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Sparks fled. The police did not chase him but called in for a police helicopter to pursue the vehicle. Tennessee Highway Patrol Aviation followed Sparks to the TSU campus, where he was taken into custody. A search of Mr. Sparks’ person yielded one gram of marijuana, and he was transported to booking.

Juan Jose Mendoza Soriano led police on chase “for the adrenalin rush,” per report

19-year-old Juan Jose Mendoza Soriano was jailed on June 24th after police saw him driving a white Buick SUV aggressively on Bell Road. He was observed crossing the double yellow lines and speeding to pass cars. Police then saw him run a red light and continue to travel to the wrong side of the road to pass other vehicles. Police activated their lights and sirens and attempted to pull him over, but he continued to speed off, trying to reach the vehicle’s maximum speed. Another officer deployed spikes, but Mendoza avoided the spikes and turned his lights off to black out his SUV. He then entered an apartment complex and bailed on foot. He was found in the wood lines and was taken into custody. He later told police that he ran from them due to adrenalin. Police found multiple open containers in his vehicle, and he blew a .043% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Teanna Gardner & Monterio Taylor jailed after being stopped by spike-strip on roadway

19-year-old Teanna Gardner & 18-year-old Monterio Taylor were jailed for fleeing the police when a traffic stop was initiated on I-24 Saturday night. Police tried to pull over a silver Hyundai Sonata for the left brake light not properly working. The driver of the vehicle, Gardner, fled at high speed. Detectives deployed spike strips which stopped the car before Shelby St. The back seat passenger, Taylor, got out of the car and ran. Police chased him on foot briefly before taking him into custody. It was later found that during the chase, Taylor threw a gun on the side of the interstate to try to get rid of it. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When officers searched Taylor’s body, they found 10 grams of marijuana.

Mikel Klean charged after firing shots from a vehicle in East Nashville

Police say 18-year-old Mikel Klean and a 16-year-old were inside a black Chrysler Sebring smoking marijuana in East Nashville when shots were fired from their vehicle, causing neighbors to call 911. Officers located the vehicle, after it initially fled from them, at a nearby residence, and as they knocked on the door, both teens fled from the rear of the home. Both quickly surrendered and were taken into custody. 10 grams of marijuana was located in the vehicle during a search.

Kian Garcia flees police, drives into oncoming traffic with baby in vehicle with him

Police say 21-year-old Kian Garcia drove past them in his gold Hyundai Genesis at a high rate of speed on Dickerson Pike on November 19th and began weaving through traffic as the officer followed the vehicle. After running the license plate and it coming back as registered to a GMC truck, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Garcia had no plans on stopping. After a brief chase, officers stopped the pursuit due to public safety as the vehicle drove into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Nearby officers observed the car park at a car lot on Gallatin Pike, and two males exited the car. Officers approached the building and detained the two individuals. Inside the car during the pursuit was Garcia’s two-month-old son, who was unharmed.

Marqueze Boyd jailed after fleeing a traffic stop in November

21-year-old Marqueze Boyd was booked Sunday on an outstanding warrant charging him with felony evading arrest with a motor vehicle. The charge stems from an attempted November traffic stop when Boyd was driving a white Dodge Charger with Reginald Harding as his passenger. Officers observed a fake temporary tag and erratic driving and were attempting to conduct a traffic stop when Boyd fled the scene as officers approached the vehicle.

Freshly faded felon Billie Pace flees from Police in stolen truck

32-year-old Billie Pace was the driver of a vehicle parked at the HomeTowne Studios on Murfreesboro Pike Tuesday. Officers were in the area and ran the tag, which came back as stolen during a robbery. As officers attempted a felony stop at gunpoint, Pace put the vehicle in reverse and fled from the parking spot. Spike strips were deployed at the entrance/exit to the extended-stay complex but did not immediately stop the vehicle. The rubber eventually separated from the rim of a front tire near Kipling & Connelly Drive, and Pace gave up the chase, unable to control the vehicle. A search revealed a syringe and a glass crack pipe, and Pace refused to be interviewed. In addition to the pending charges for the original robbery/kidnapping, he was charged with auto theft, drug paraphernalia, evading arrest, and driving on a suspended license.
