Taylor Freeland drives on revoked license, causes car accident

29-year-old Taylor Freeland was involved in a car accident resulting in injury on Dry Creek Road and Green Circle intersection in the early hours of November 25th. Officers responded, spoke with Freeland, and were advised that she did not have valid insurance. She was booked on the citation of noncompliance with financial responsibility and driving on a revoked license on December 18th.

Joel Kaizer flees scene of crash, fails to appear in court

21-year-old Joel Kaizer was involved in a car accident on Donelson Pike in December 2022. Kaizer initially fled the scene and did not stop until a traffic stop was conducted. Officers were notified that Kaizer failed to appear in court in September 2022, causing his license to be suspended. Kaizer was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license. He failed to appear in court on April 24th and was taken into custody on November 20th for failure to be booked.

Isaak Helms tells police he helps with terrorist activities against Israelis during DUI arrest

27-year-old Isaak Helms was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license on October 19th. Officers were dispatched to Old Lebanon Dirt Rd. regarding a single-car wreck and observed Helms in the front seat of the vehicle in the ditch as they arrived. Helms was visibly intoxicated when speaking with officers as they noticed two empty beer cans in his center console and unidentified pills on the floorboard. Helms consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers Mirandized Helms, and then he stated that he drank two beers before driving and that he was traveling 50 mph around a sharp curve, causing him to veer off in a ditch. Helms became extremely belligerent after being put in the back of the patrol car and began to make various racial slurs towards Jews and African Americans. Helms even insinuated that he partakes in terrorist activities against Israelis and made personal insults towards officers. Officers ran Helms’s license, and it came back as suspended.

DUI: Soldier Preston Johnson says he took extra Seroquel; pipe & Fentanyl found in wallet

20-year-old 68W Army Combat Medic Preston Johnson was jailed Wednesday night after causing an accident near Sevier Street in the Shelby Park area. He told police that as he was driving his white Nissan Sentra on Davidson Street, his power steering went out, and he had to swerve out of his lane to avoid a car that cut him off. Officers could smell the odor of alcohol coming from his breath, and he had to lean against the patrol vehicle to keep himself up. He explained that he took sleeping pills earlier that day but consumed no alcohol. He fell asleep while standing, and officers had to keep him from falling over. When the police asked him if he was okay, he said that he had not taken his sleeping medication in a long time, so he took two because he had worked a 24-hour shift the night before. During a search incident to arrest, police found a crack pipe and a brown baggie containing approximately one gram of crushed powder inside his wallet. Johnson told police that the powder was his prescribed sleeping medication; however, once tested, the powder tested positive for Fentanyl.

Keith Gardner charged with reckless driving — 100 mph in a 55 mph zone

38-year-old Keith Gardner is charged with reckless driving after passing a police officer while traveling 100 mph on I-24 near Ellington Parkway, where the speed limit is 55 mph. He made abrupt lane changes and almost lost control when he ran off the shoulder of the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted and he was cited for reckless driving and driving on a suspended license (2nd offense).

Zachary Wilson charged after crash, failing to self-book on citations

19-year-old Zachary Wilson was involved in a traffic crash in November when it was discovered he was driving on a suspended license and without insurance. He was issued citations and never appeared in court, so a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. He was booked on the two outstanding charges this week.

DUI: Nicole Noe says she was “traveling, not driving,” so she can’t be charged #Jailed

51-year-old Nicole Noe crashed her Saturn SUV into a utility pole on Charlotte Ave late Sunday night but reassured responding officers that her suspended license wasn’t relevant, as she wasn’t “driving,” she was “traveling.” She repeatedly told officers, “I’m a nurse at Vanderbilt,” as she adamantly refused all medical treatment, stating she would know if she needed medical attention. She admitted to drinking alcohol earlier in the day, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody and charged with DUI. Records show that Noe received her CNA license with the state in 2003, which expired in April 2022.

Kian Garcia flees police, drives into oncoming traffic with baby in vehicle with him

Police say 21-year-old Kian Garcia drove past them in his gold Hyundai Genesis at a high rate of speed on Dickerson Pike on November 19th and began weaving through traffic as the officer followed the vehicle. After running the license plate and it coming back as registered to a GMC truck, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Garcia had no plans on stopping. After a brief chase, officers stopped the pursuit due to public safety as the vehicle drove into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Nearby officers observed the car park at a car lot on Gallatin Pike, and two males exited the car. Officers approached the building and detained the two individuals. Inside the car during the pursuit was Garcia’s two-month-old son, who was unharmed.

Late Thursday night, it was the sister of a fugitive who was behind the camera as Bolden watched his fugitive escape his custody in a wild ride on Dickerson Pike, part of which included Bolden backing into the sister’s car when she blocked him in, Bolden firing his gun at the sister’s car, and eventually driving down Dickerson Pike with his fugitive hanging onto the outside of his vehicle while she is still cuffed to the dashboard inside. The fugitive, Antoinette Hall, eventually slipped her handcuffs after he pulled over, and she escaped from his custody.

DUI: Michael Lelli found asleep behind the wheel on I-40

Metro Nashville Police responded to a vehicle parked on the side of I-40 in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Behind the wheel, officers observed 26-year-old Michael Lelli sleeping for a considerable amount of time before being able to wake him. Once awake, he reportedly stumped on his feet and reeked of alcohol, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Lelli admitted to consuming “one beer and two mixed drinks” prior to driving. He was charged with DUI 2nd and driving on a suspended license. He has a prior DUI conviction from 2017, according to police.
