Jerson Calderon-Lopez flees police in Infiniti Q50 after being stopped for illegal tint

20-year-old Jerson Calderon-Lopez was booked on March 16th when officers pulled him over in a white Infiniti Q50 with illegal windshield tint. There were reports of a suspicious vehicle with occupants pulling on car door handles in a parking lot on Premier Drive, and Calderon’s Infinity matched the description. The car sped off when police initially tried to conduct a traffic stop. Aviation followed the vehicle and observed four passengers flee on foot onto the railroad tracks near Briley Pike North. Aviation was able to give specific locations and advised that Calderon was hiding on a rockface in the thick brush behind Centennial Boulevard. Police found Calderon and placed him into custody. He admitted to being the driver and not possessing a driver’s license. Calderon also stated that two of the passengers were under 18. Calderon was then transported to General Hospital for a medical clearance before being transported to booking.

Amanda Hill charged with shoplifting from Target

35-year-old Amanda Hill was booked this week on a citation charging her with theft/shoplifting from Target. Police say on June 14, she entered the Target on White Bridge Pike, filled up a shopping cart with various items, and attempted to push it out the door without paying for any of the merchandise. She confessed to the theft when asked by officers.

Ethan Bezuidenhout jailed after shooting in direction of a home behind a paper target

19-year-old Ethan Bezuidenhout was one of four teens shooting firearms from a home on McCrory Lane in Nashville on May 24. They were shooting in the direction of a nearby home that faced Poplar Creek Road, where officers responded to a shots-fired call in progress at 7 p.m. The victims told police they were in their driveway when they heard gunshots and a whistling noise over their heads as the bullets flew past them, striking the branches directly above their heads. The victims took cover, and officers arrived and continued to hear gunshots from across the road. Officers tracked the gunfire to a home on McCrory Lane, where Bezuidenhout admitted to firing at paper targets and now knowing what was behind them in the path of the bullets. He was also in possession of a vape pen, which he used in the presence of officers.

Davis Madrigal found with Xanax after recklessly shooting at paper targets in direction of neighbor

Officers tracked the gunfire to a home on McCrory Lane, where he told officers he was not aware there was a residence behind the paper targets. Madrigal had Xanax in his possession at the time of his arrest, and could not provide a prescription for the drugs.

Kyle Peebles jailed after recklessly setting up target practice, bullets buzzed over neighbor’s heads

The teenager was found with a vape pen in his possession, which he continued to inhale in the presence of officers, and was additionally charged accordingly.

Leslie Rodgers charged with DUI after flipping car on I-40

57-year-old Leslie Rodgers was booked this week on a citation after he hit the median on I-40 and flipped his car on April 4. When police responded to the crash, they saw a half-empty plastic container of Vodka on the roof of the vehicle that was placed there by the fire department. Rodgers was transported to Vanderbilt before officers could conduct a DUI investigation. Police spoke with Rogers at the hospital, where he said he didn’t know how the crash happened, but he openly admitted to having three shots of Vodka a few hours before the crash. Rogers was not asked to perform sobriety tests because medical staff had recently administered fentanyl. However, based on his admission of drinking and the container of vodka, he was charged with DUI.

DUI: Nicole Noe says she was “traveling, not driving,” so she can’t be charged #Jailed

51-year-old Nicole Noe crashed her Saturn SUV into a utility pole on Charlotte Ave late Sunday night but reassured responding officers that her suspended license wasn’t relevant, as she wasn’t “driving,” she was “traveling.” She repeatedly told officers, “I’m a nurse at Vanderbilt,” as she adamantly refused all medical treatment, stating she would know if she needed medical attention. She admitted to drinking alcohol earlier in the day, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody and charged with DUI. Records show that Noe received her CNA license with the state in 2003, which expired in April 2022.

DUI: Andrew Scott drives home speeding & dragging front bumper, totally oblivious

28-year-old Andrew Scott faces a DUI charge after police observed him driving just before 4 a.m. Sunday while dragging his front bumper along with him on the ground at 65 mph in a 40 mph zone on White Bridge Pike. A subsequent traffic stop revealed him to be the driver of the vehicle, and he told officers he was returning from a friend’s house and CookOut and eventually admitted to drinking both beer and liquor prior to driving. He seemed surprised there was damage to the front end of his vehicle, despite the horrendous noise it was making on the roadway before the stop, but eventually stated he might have run over a curb. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

Mikianna Burns charged after downtown Nashville girl brawl

Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville just before 2 a.m. Saturday observed 23-year-old Mikianna Burns engaging in a fight with Unique Chambers. She was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

Michael Riedel determined to party at Honky Tonk Central; punches a bouncer after being kicked out

Security at Honky Tonk Central on Broadway in downtown Nashville escorted 37-year-old Michael Riedel out of the venue for being disorderly, and he continued to attempt to come back inside. As he was being removed a subsequent time, he reportedly punched one of the bouncers. Metro Nashville Police arrived to assist and observed Riedel swaying on his feet and obviously overly intoxicated to the point he was unable to spell his own name. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
