Jaiari Dunaway assaults man at Ascend Federal Credit Union

31-year-old Jaiari Dunaway had an altercation with Keydrick Lorenzo Rose at the Ascend Federal Credit Union on Charlotte Avenue Pike on October 4th, 2021. The location provided officers with surveillance, showing Rose standing and utilizing the drive-through ATM when a blue vehicle drove up behind him. An unidentified male, later identified as Dunaway, exited the car and approached him. Dunaway struck Rose multiple times, causing him to fall onto the ground in front of Dunaway’s car. Dunaway kicked Rose at least once before he could get up and leave the scene. Then, Dunaway used the ATM and officers used the Information from his back transaction to identify him. A warrant was issued for his arrest on January 14th, 2022. Dunaway was later taken into custody for assault on May 8th, 2024.

Katelynn Fencl pours anti-freeze on ex-boyfriend during confrontation over narcotics

21-year-old Katelynn Fencl had a domestic altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Melvin Houston, in the parking lot of Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero around 3 p.m. on May 5th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Houston, who stated that earlier today, he was driving with Fencl when an argument ensued because she had narcotics with her. Houston said he was trying to pull over to let her out when she grabbed his right arm while he drove, leaving multiple abrasions. Then, he said he pulled into the Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero parking lot and started recording the incident on his phone. Fencl then poured multiple drinks over the front of his vehicle, causing damage, before opening a bottle of orange juice and pouring it inside his car. Houston added that she then grabbed a bottle of anti-freeze, poured it on him, and threw it at him after emptying it. Houston said she then chased him around in the parking lot while swinging her hands at him, grabbed his $4,800 camera from the backseat, and fled. Officers reviewed the footage and confirmed his statement. Fencl was then taken into custody for domestic assault, theft, and vandalism on May 8th.

DUI: John Ledford crashes Jeep Grand Cherokee after having “one beer and one shot” at Joe’s Place

26-year-old John Ledford was involved in a car accident on Harding Place in the early hours of May 8th. When officers arrived, they located his unoccupied 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in a ditch with all airbags deployed and found a bottle of Casamigos Tequila. Ledford’s friend, Austin Crow, alerted authorities, advising them that Ledford was the driver and was being treated at Saint Thomas West Hospital on Harding Pike. Officers went to the ER and spoke with Crow, who stated that Ledford called him around 2:30 a.m., telling him he had been in a car crash. Then, Crow told officers he drove and transported Ledford to the hospital. Crow added that Ledford did not want to call the police because he did not have health insurance. The police interviewed Ledford in the ER room, during which they noticed he reeked of alcohol as he stated he did not have much recollection of how the crash occurred. Ledford said he was driving back from Joe’s Place and drank “one beer and one shot.” Officers administered a sobriety test, and Ledford showed signs of impairment. After being informed of implied consent, he refused to provide a chemical sample. Ledford was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.

Marianne Allison attacks boyfriend fresh out of the shower during argument

39-year-old Marianne Lynn Allison had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Randy Paul Murray Jr., at their Spring Creek Drive apartment around 2:20 a.m. on May 8th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Murray Jr., who was in the parking lot of the complex with open cuts on his face. Murray Jr. advised officers that, while in an Uber, riding home, Allison had hit him in the face. When they returned to the apartment, Murray Jr. took a shower, and the argument continued once he got out. During the argument, Allison rushed and attacked him. Murray Jr. noted to officers that he was hit in the face a couple more times while trying to restrain Alison. Then, Murray Jr. said he got up, grabbed his stuff, rushed out the door, and waited for the police to arrive in the parking lot. Allison was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Mariana Rodriguez slaps boyfriend, throws his laptop after his music wakes her up

26-year-old Mariana Alfonso Rodriguez had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Christopher Warren Haynes, at their Wallace Road apartment late May 7th. When officers arrived, they were advised that Haynes was in the kitchen on the laptop making music when Rodriguez was trying to sleep in the bedroom. Rodriguez was unable to due to the noise, causing her to get up and confront Haynes, during which she pulled off his headphones and told him to turn it down. Haynes then put his headphones back on and continued to work on the music. In response, Rodriguez closed Hayne’s laptop and pulled his headphones off again, sparking an argument. When Haynes told Rodriguez the music was already turned down, she slapped him, leaving redness on his right cheek near his ear. Rodriguez then grabbed Hayne’s laptop and threw it across the room. Rodriguez then approached Hayne, causing him to push her away. Rodriguez was deemed the primary aggressor and then was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 8th.

Josue Fragoso-Medina smacks girlfriend multiple times, assaults witnesses during altercation

27-year-old Josue Fragoso Medina had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Jannet Lopez, in the parking lot near Moxy Nashville Downtown in the early hours of April 27th. When officers arrived, they separated them and spoke with Lopez, who was still in emotional distress, as she told them that Medina became aggressive towards her during an argument. Lopez stated Medina smacked her in the face “a couple of times,” which left visible marks on her arms and a broken nail on her left thumb. The police then called the medics to aid her injuries.

Lopez stated that the witnesses, John McMahon and Mohib Muhammadi, intervened to help and stop Medina from attacking her, adding that Medina also tried to fight with them. Officers spoke with McMahon, who advised he was the first to observe Medina hitting Lopez, and he rushed over to help. Muhammadi said he saw Medina hit Lopez and then try fighting with McMahon, which was when he came to assist McMahon. Both told officers that they scuffled with Medina until their arrival. When officers tried to speak with Medina, he refused and told them, “It does not matter.” During their interaction, officers noticed Medina reeked of alcohol before deeming him the primary aggressor. Medina was then taken into custody for domestic assault and an order of protection violation.

Regina Culp chases and attacks daughter

41-year-old Regina Culp had a domestic altercation with her daughter, Lashundria Culp, at their Ruddell Lane on the night of May 7th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Lashundria, who stated she was sitting on the front steps when Regina opened the door and started chasing her through “the community ground.” She stated that she was in fear while running from her mother because Regina had been arrested earlier in the day for attacking her. Lashundria stated she was screaming so loudly that a passerby overheard it while she was at the mailbox. She told officers that she assisted Lashundria by opening her car door and allowing her into her vehicle. Regina denied all claims and said she never left the porch steps. Culp was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Tyshecka Carter runs over man’s girlfriend after argument

27-year-old Tyshecka Carter ran over Amaree Rogers near a Chimneytop Drive residence on May 5th. Rogers advised officers that Carter was driving around, arguing with Rogers’s boyfriend. Carter then swerved into Rogers, hitting her with her car, throwing her backward and onto the ground. Carter then drove over her body, fracturing Roger’s hip before leaving. Rogers stated that she believed Carter intentionally struck her since she was on the side of the road when she steered into her. When police arrived, paramedics were attending to Rogers, who was in the middle of the street next to a puddle of blood. Officers could not locate Carter at the time. Carter was later taken into custody for aggravated assault on May 8th.

DUI: Casey Dick drives car through backyard fence, tells police he “snorted meth” before crashing

31-year-old Casey Paul Dick had a domestic incident with his wife, Tara Pilar Dick, at their Lake Terrace Drive residence late May 7th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Mrs. Dick, who stated that while she was making dinner, Mr. Dick drove his car through their backyard fence. When he entered the house, he threw the keys at her and stated, “You can have everything. I am done,” before leaving. When officers responded, they observed the car, which was still running, and located Mr. Dick a few blocks away on Bell Road, where they detained him. Dick advised officers that he had snorted meth four hours before crashing. Dick was transported to Nashville General Hospital for blood testing and taken into custody for driving under the influence and domestic assault.

Known Scammer Paul Aniel free on $250 bond after over 140 arrests

Since 2010, 57-year-old Paul Aniel has had hundreds of interactions with police in Middle Tennessee, with over 140 of them resulting in his arrest and over 60 of those resulting in guilty pleas. Despite being at it for 14 years, his operation hasn’t changed much — he parks his car near an offramp and desperately waves his arms to signal oncoming traffic he is in distress. Once someone stops, he tells them he urgently needs money for his fraud of the day. If they refuse to help, he becomes angered, placing several in fear of assault. He even unknowingly flagged down an unmarked police car in 2020. During the last week, Metro police received over a dozen calls that Paul was back at his scam at multiple locations. He was located near Haywood Lane on May 8th but told police he was “just talking to people.” Unconvinced by his excuse and having observed him actively soliciting, officers again took Aniel into custody. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $250, which he paid in cash and walked out the door despite his criminal history.
