Street Car enthusiast Ilir Krasniqi charged with reckless driving on Murfreesboro Pike

While working the Street Racing Initiative on April 1, Metro Nashville Police observed 19-year-old Ilir Krasniqi on Murfreesboro Pike traveling at 83 mph in a 45 mph zone — still a long way from the car’s top speed of 143 mph. There was late rush-hour traffic, and Krasniqi was driving his 2017 Lexus IS 300 recklessly and without regard for other motorists. He was booked this week on a citation charging him with reckless driving.

DUI: Chase Pettingill jailed after crashing into police car at 2 a.m.

29-year-old Chase Alexander Pettingill faces multiple charges after police say he drove into the rear of a Metro Nashville Police car with an officer inside. Officers were conducting an unrelated traffic stop on W Trinity Lane at 2 a.m. Friday when Pettingill approached them while drifting between lanes. He ultimately failed to maintain control of his vehicle and crashed into the rear of a patrol car. Officers say Pettingill was confused, did not understand verbal commands, and smelled of alcohol. A vape pen with THC oil was also removed from his pocket. He refused all sobriety testing and requested a lawyer. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Kroger clerk Tobias Poindexter charged with selling wine to a minor

31-year-old Tobias Poindexter sold a bottle of Bay Bridge wine to a female confidential informant who was working with the TABC during a compliance check operation on March 30. She presented with an ID showing her date of birth as 05/30/03, making her 19 years old. He is charged with selling alcohol to a minor and was booked this week on the citation.

Devin Blakley charged with selling wine to a minor at Downtown Nashville Wine & Spirits

Agents with the TABC say 22-year-old Devin Blakley sold alcohol to an informant during a minor compliance check on March 30. Agents used a minor with an ID confirming they were 19 years of age. Special agents observed as Blakley sold the minor informant a bottle of SweetWater wine. Blakley was booked on that charge this week.

Megan Arnold hyperventilates on the way to jail after DUI crash

37-year-old Megan Arnold was involved in a three-vehicle crash Thursday, and responding officers say she was visibly intoxicated. She reeked of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was unsteady on her feet, according to a police report. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and officers located a tumbler that smelled of alcohol in her center console. As she was being transported to jail, she began to hyperventilate and was taken to Metro General to be clear, where she also consented to a blood draw.

Nathan Miller to police: “Yeah, I’m faded… I’ve been drinking anything and everything.”

26-year-old Nathan Miller was found in apparent need of medical assistance late Wednesday night as he was slumped over and slurring his words after eventually being woken up by first responders who initially found him unresponsive. He had a strong odor of alcohol, and when Officer Lawson asked if he had anything to drink tonight, Miller responded, “Yeah, I’m faded. I’ve been drinking anything and everything.” Unable to care for himself, he was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Callie Webber beats her daughter with a wooden rolling pin

When police arrived at the shared home of 51-year-old Callie Webber and her daughter, Callie told them that she knew she was “going to jail for hitting the b*t$h with the rolling pin” — and she did. The two had been in a verbal argument after her daughter reportedly refused to go to her room. Callie then went into the kitchen and returned with a large wooden rolling pin and began swinging it at the victim. She made contact, striking her daughter multiple times on the arms and once in the head.

Sarah Pence charged with DUI, says she took Adderall but not alcohol

Police say 34-year-old Sarah Pence couldn’t keep her Kia Soul between the lines late Monday night as she drove on Long Hollow Pike. She drove almost to the middle of an intersection at a red traffic light and continued to cross both lines as an officer followed behind her. A traffic stop was initiated and Pence declared she was unaware she was driving erratically or incorrectly. She performed poorly on subsequent field sobriety tests and consented to a blood draw. She stated they would find Adderall in her system.

Nia Branch charged with child neglect after her child roamed outside while she slept off a hangover

21-year-old Nia Branch was naked from the waist down when she answered her front door Friday morning and stood face to face with Metro Nashville Police officers. They asked if she knew the location of her young child, who she believed was still in the apartment with her. In reality, the child, wearing only shorts and a soiled diaper, had been running around the apartment complex unsupervised and knocking on doors, asking for food. Neighbors had fed the child and changed the dirty diaper. They told police the child was frequently outside unsupervised and naked, asking for food. Branch told officers she had been out drinking the night before and wasn’t aware the child had left the home.

Cody Brom charged in daytime DUI in downtown Nashville

30-year-old Cody Brom is charged with driving under the influence after he drove the wrong way on 4th Ave S in downtown Nashville mid-day on Monday. Officers say his clothing was covered in vomit, and he stated he had “a lot” of alcohol. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests but stated, “It’s no use; I’m drunk!” Brom was transported to booking, where he blew a 0.21% BAC on a breathalyzer.
