Ashly Salazar booked after fighting man outside of Hard Rock Cafe

28-year-old Ashly Salazar had an altercation near the Hard Rock Café on Broadway late March 17th. When the officers arrived, they observed Salazar fighting with another individual, Jason Nikmara Tate. Officers gave Salazar commands to stop, which she refused. Then, officers tried to detain her, during which Salazar became resistive and started pulling away from them. Salazar was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

London Day tries to fight while being detained during multiple person brawl on Broadway

22-year-old London Day was booked on March 17th when officers witnessed him in a multi-person fight including Carson Willingham on Rep John Lewis Way South and Broadway. Officers attempted to break up the altercation, but Mr. Day pulled away in an attempt to continue fighting. Officers eventually detained Mr. Day, and he was transported to booking.

Lauren Maten resists arrest after refusing to pay bill at 400 Degrees in Nashville International Airport

23-year-old Lauren Maten was booked on March 15th after refusing to pay her bill at the 400 Degrees restaurant at Nashville International Airport. Officers located Maten on camera and made contact with her. Maten had alcohol emitting from her breath as she told officers that she had paid her bill. Maten advised that she was at the airport so she could go to rehab. While officers ran the information from her driver’s license, she began acting belligerent, yelling and trying to grab her driver’s license back. Maten was too drunk to comprehend what was happening and ignored the officer’s warnings to stop. She was then placed under arrest and advised officers that being arrested for public intoxication was “not a thing” in Indiana.

Maten continued to yell and began to passively resist by refusing to walk and becoming deadweight. Maten was then placed into a wheelchair to be safely transported to the patrol vehicle. While officers pushed the wheelchair, Maten kept putting her feet on the ground and trying to run away from the officers. Maten did this until she was taken to the ground and carried into the elevator. While officers attempted to place Maten in the backseat of the patrol vehicle, she began kicking them and refused to get in. The officers had to restrain her feet to stop her from kicking so she could be safely transported to booking. Maten was taken into custody for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Alabama Tourist Matthew Minetree taken to ground during fight involving multiple men on Broadway

21-year-old Alabama tourist Matthew David Minetree was one of multiple males fighting on the corner of Rep. John Lewis Way and Broadway in the early hours of March 17th. Officers observed him engaging in a physical altercation as they approached, so they tried to detain him. However, Minetree kept pulling away after being told to stop resisting, prompting officers to take him to the ground. Minetree was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

18-Year-Old Keiveon Kelly caught smoking marijuana in friend’s Camaro at TSU

18-year-old Keiveon Kelly sat in the passenger seat of Andrayvin Stewart’s black Camaro, smoking marijuana in the Boyd Hall parking at Tennessee State University on the afternoon of February 13th. Officers observed this, initiated a traffic stop, and as they walked up to the car, which reeked of marijuana, they observed Kelly holding the blunt. Officers asked the men what they were doing, and they both stated they were smoking a blunt. Stewart consented to a search of his Camaro, where officers found 92 grams of marijuana, a half-burned blunt, a Glock holster, an open box of clear plastic baggies, and three black bookbags. Neither of the men claimed ownership of the items found in the search. Officers searched Stewart and found $2,860 in $20-dollar-bills in his pockets. Officers then asked Stewart if he had a gun, and he replied, “I have a Glock 9 under my bed,” which they could not locate. During the search, Stewart and Kelly seemed nervous, pacing back and forth until Kelly suddenly grabbed a black bookbag on top of the Camaro and ran off. While Kelly ran away, a large bag of marijuana and a pair of tennis shoes fell out of the backpack. Kelly refused to stop when officers ordered him to. Kelly and Stewart were taken into custody for felony possession on March 13th.

Troy Davern resists arrest after getting into drunken fight on Division Street

26-year-old Troy Davern was one of three individuals allegedly involved in a fight near 18th Avenue and Division Street in the early hours of March 14th. When officers arrived to investigate, they were flagged down by a bystander, who pointed out Davern in a nearby alley as he attempted to flee. Officers commanded Davern to stop, but he ignored them, continuing to run away. It wasn’t until an officer in a marked unit hindered Davern from escaping the alley that he willingly stopped. Officers detained him and noticed he showed multiple signs of impairment, reeking of alcohol with blood on his face and clothes from the alleged scuffle. Davern was then taken into custody for resisting arrest and public intoxication.

California Tourist Alansan Bangura tased after resisting arrest, tells officers they’re “enslaving him”

36-year-old California tourist Alansan Bangura caused a disturbance at Luke’s 32 Bridge late March 10th. Security for the establishment alerted authorities and advised them that Bangura refused to leave the bar after being told to do so. Security noted that this was due to Bangura annoying other patrons, bumping into them, and making a scene. When the officers arrived, they tried to speak with him, but he was verbally irate, disregarding their commands. Officers then went to detain Bangura, but he became resistive, pushing backward, causing them to fall onto the ground in an unknown liquid. During this scuffle, Bangura fell onto Officer Tucker, injuring his shoulder. While on the ground, Bangura continued to resist, refusing to give officers his hands. When officers got his left wrist into a handcuff, they told him that he would be tasered if he continued not to cooperate, which he did not. After numerous chances, Officer Liquori placed the taser on Bangura’s back and dry-stunned him. After being tased, Bangura finally gave the officers his hand so they could detain him. Bangura repeatedly told officers that they were “enslaving him” and that they needed to take him to the precinct to let him go. Bangura also called them racial slurs while on the way to booking. Bangura was taken into custody for the assault of an officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing on March 11th.

Taquishia Combs caught with pills after fight at WeGo Transit Center

31-year-old Taquisha Renee Combs wrestled with another female near the bus bay area at the WeGo Transit Center in Downtown Nashville on the morning of March 10th. When officers observed this, they approached and attempted to break up the altercation, but both parties continued to punch and grab each other. The officers separated and detained them and located three unidentified white pills during a search after her arrest, which she did not have a prescription for. Combs was taken into custody for resisting arrest, legend drug possession without a prescription, and disorderly conduct.

Mohamed Kadi threatens Airbnb guests after creeping by in his car

27-year-old Mohamed Kadi was taken into custody for vandalism, evading arrest, and resisting arrest on March 12th. A party called the police regarding an individual, later identified as Kadi, driving past their Airbnb on Sigler Street, parking, and then staring at them. They explained that one group member went to speak to him, during which he became angry, exiting his car with a hammer and walking toward them. Then, after a brief argument, Kadi turned his attention to Jeanette Knox’s car and started vandalizing it before fleeing. While officers spoke with the party, Kadi began yelling at them from a nearby street but walked away as the officers approached him. The officers then drove and caught up to Kadi on Music Circle North, where they ordered him to stop so they could speak with him, but he continued to run away until they threatened to taser him. Then, while they were attempting to detain him, he became actively resistive, forcing them to wait for backup to get him to the patrol car.

Manus Okeefe presents woman’s ID at Jason Aldean’s

40-year-old Manus Joseph Hosea Okeefe caused a disturbance at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar in the early hours of March 9th. Security at the bar flagged officers down regarding the incident, advising them that they dragged Okeefe out of the establishment and that he was too intoxicated, aggressive, and not welcome back. When officers met with Okeefe, he reeked of alcohol. They requested his identification, and he gave them an unknown female’s ID. Okeefe became irate and uncooperative as he shouted at them, approaching aggressively. While they tried to detain him, he resisted, refusing to get in the back of the patrol car, so they had to force him into it. Okeefe was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.
