DUI: Jovani Gonzalez blows .262% BAC after being found passed out drunk in his car

28-year-old Jovani Gonzalez was found sleeping in his car at the Chase Bank parking lot late on April 28th. When officers arrived, they found Gonzalez asleep in his vehicle with the keys in the ignition and the vehicle in drive. Officers could not wake him even after numerous attempts, so paramedics were contacted. A paramedic was able to put the car in park and wake Gonzalez with a sternum rub. Officers then made contact with Gonzalez and noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from his person. While speaking to Gonzalez, officers saw a closed 750ml bottle of 1800 Tequila on the passenger side floor, along with another empty beer bottle. According to officers, about 15 empty beer bottles were in the truck bed. When asked how much alcohol he had consumed, Gonzalez stated, “Three to four beers,” leading to the request for some field sobriety tests. Gonzalez consented to the sobriety tests but ended up performing poorly. Gonzalez performed a breathalyzer test with the final result being a .262% BAC. Gonzalez was asked for his driver’s license but told officers that he didn’t have one or any other form of identification. Jovani Gonzalez was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, driving without a driver’s license, and possessing an open alcohol container.

Angella Anderson stops roommate from calling police during altercation, says “there was no need to”

40-year-old Angella Anderson was involved in an altercation with her roommate, Rodger Duke, at their Sharpe Avenue residence on April 27th. Duke contacted law enforcement and said that while he was making a 9-11 call, he was stopped by Anderson. Duke reiterated that Anderson wrestled the cell phone out of his hand. Anderson stated that she did not want him to call the police and that “there was no need to.” Angella Anderson was taken into custody and charged with interfering with an emergency call on April 29th.

Josue Solis kicked out of Plaza Mariachi for being too drunk

23-year-old Josue Solis was caught trespassing at the Plaza Mariachi on Nolensville Pike on April 27th. Officers made contact with security, who advised that Solis was escorted out of their bar for being overly intoxicated and pushy. Security also informed officers that Solis kept trying to return to the building through different entrances after he was kicked out. Officers advised Solis that he needed to find a way home, to which he responded by saying that he would get his brother to take him. Solis made no effort to contact his brother, so the officers reminded him, but the same behavior continued. Due to his level of intoxication, Josue Solis was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication.

DUI: Tackerette Bigbee hits car at Rest Haven Motel after drinking 3 beers on his birthday

51-year-old Tackerette Bigbee was involved in a car accident at the Rest Haven Motel parking lot on the night of his birthday. Early on April 28th, Officers arrived and observed Bigbee sitting in a tan Chevy Tahoe with the engine running. Officers explained to Bigbee that he had hit another vehicle, but he stated that he hadn’t hit the vehicle. Damage was apparent on both cars present. However, Bigbee noted that he already had damage done to his car. Bigbee exited his truck after being instructed to do so but demonstrated clear signs of intoxication. Officers asked Bigbee if he had anything to drink, and he admitted that he had consumed three beers, leading to sobriety tests. Bigbee consented to the sobriety tests but performed poorly. Tackerette Bigbee was then taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

Josue Uribe jumps on top of cab after drinking on Broadway, says his friend told him to do it

24-year-old Josue Uribe was seen jumping on top of a cab in the middle of the street on Broadway on April 28th. Uribe was observed yelling and dancing on the top of the cab. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Uribe, who stated that his friend told him to do it. Uribe admitted he had 2 to 3 drinks before jumping on the cab. According to law enforcement, Josue Uribe was a danger to himself, so he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Joshua Wafford bumps security guard with his truck at St. Jude’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon

37-year-old Joshua Wafford was involved in an altercation with Jobiel Alexander at the intersection of South 9th Street and Woodland Street on April 27th. Alexander and another individual working security for St. Jude’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon, Ms. Macgregor, told law enforcement that they observed a truck driver drive around a barricade onto Woodland Street. The two went over to stop him from going any further. Alexander stood in front of the truck, and Macgregor went to the driver’s side to talk to Wafford. Wafford told them he worked on Woodland Street and needed to get through traffic. Alexander and Macgregor reiterated that Wafford couldn’t go that way, so Wafford proceeded to bump into Alexander with the truck’s front bumper. After bumping into Alexander, Wafford made his way onto Russel Street. When confronted by law enforcement, Wafford stated that he did not hit any security guards but that one of the guards jumped on the front of his vehicle. This contradicts the statements of a witness of the incident, Ms. Bates, who advised that she was sitting across the street from the incident and observed Wafford bump into a security guard with the truck. Joshua Wafford was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

Caleb Campbell speeds down I-40 West in his Pontiac G6

29-year-old Caleb Campbell was booked on a citation on April 23rd when law enforcement observed him speeding at I-40 West on January 22nd, 2023. He was seen in a red 2010 Pontiac G6 doing 91 mph in a 70 mph lane. Caleb Campbell does not have a valid driver’s license.

Clare Torchia lies to police about being assaulted

20-year-old Clare Torchia was caught contacting law enforcement for a non-emergency at Nashboro Boulevard on March 3rd. Torchia told law enforcement that she was in her babysitter’s driveway trying to get her child from him when she told the babysitter that if he didn’t give her the baby, she was going to tell law enforcement that she was assaulted. The babysitter stated, “I’m not going to deal with this,” then went inside with the baby and locked the door. Torchia called the police department to advise she was hit and pushed and that her 7-month-old child was taken from her. When officers arrived, Torchia admitted that she had lied because she wanted the police to get to her fast. Clare Torchia was cited for the violation that day and then booked on the citation for a non-emergency 911 call on April 17th.

Daniel Redd punches brother-in-law multiple times during argument

36-year-old Daniel Redd was involved in an altercation with his brother-in-law, Daniel Picazzo, at his Owendale Drive residence on April 22nd. Officers came into contact with Picazzo, who informed them that while he was arguing with Redd, he got punched in the face. Officers then spoke with Redd, who stated that he hit Picazzo in the face multiple times because he was scared that his wife, Picazzo’s sister, had a gun. Picazzo told officers that his sister never pulled out a gun and that he did not have physical contact with Redd before Redd punched him. This led to officers speaking with Picazzo’s sister, who advised that after Redd punched Picazzo several times, so she pulled out a handgun to stop the assault. Officers observed multiple cuts on Picazzo’s nose, lips, and cheeks. Daniel Redd was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Derrick Watkins caught stealing Melograno Cocktails at Velocity Warehouse

49-year-old Derrick Watkins was caught stealing two Melograno Cocktails at the Velocity International Group warehouse on April 22nd. When law enforcement arrived, they received camera footage of Watkins leaving the building with the drinks. Officers made contact with Watkins, who was inside his vehicle with the drinks in plain view. Further investigation revealed that Watkins had an outstanding warrant for an incident on December 6th, 2023. The incident occurred at Christ Church with his sexual partner, Desia Clements. A witness stated that they saw a black male push a black female on the ground. Clements stated that she came to Nashville to look for a place to stay because she planned to move. According to Clements, Watkins demanded that he come with her to Nashville. While arguing about going to the gas station, Clements told Watkins she didn’t want him to drive her car. This prompted Watkins to push her to the ground. Derrick Watkins was taken into custody for the outstanding warrant and charged with theft of property and domestic assault.
