DUI: David Randazzo drives through person’s backyard, tells officers he “had a little bit” to drink

41-year-old David Randazzo was taken into custody for an open container violation, an implied consent violation, and driving under the influence-2nd offense on April 26th. On April 25th, around 10:00 p.m., officers received a call regarding a person, later identified as Randazzo, driving through their backyard. Upon arrival, officers observed him driving away from the location. Officers then conducted an investigatory stop, where they noticed Randazzo reeked of alcohol. When asked by officers if he had consumed any alcohol, Randazzo advised that he “had a little bit.” He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and after being read implied consent, agreed to provide a blood sample. After being transported to Nashville General Hospital for the blood draw, Randazzo revoked his consent, prompting officers to obtain a search warrant for his blood. Officers then discovered he had a prior DUI charge from Michigan in 2017. Officers located two open containers during an inventory search of his vehicle. Randazzo was detained for the incident.

Ivan Voloder tries to learn why wife was banned from Walmart, gets banned

30-year-old Ivan Voloder was booked for trespassing at Walmart on Charlotte Pike on December 3rd. Walmart staff repeatedly warned Voloder to leave the property, and he refused to do so. Voloder stated that he was there to ask why his wife was banned from Walmart. Voloder also said he wouldn’t be scared off by Walmart employees. Walmart staff have stated they wished to prosecute. Voloder qualified for a citation and was cited for criminal trespass. Ivan Voloder was booked on the citation of criminal trespass on January 8th.

Russell Watkins consumes multiple drugs before breaking into room at Comfort Inn

54-year-old Russell Watkins was booked after breaking into someone’s room at the Comfort Inn on White Bridge Place on January 9th. Officers arrived and located Watkins, who was inside of a closet on the property. The manager on duty advised that Watkins had broken into someone’s room and hopped over the counter. Officers spoke to the room’s occupants, and they did not want to prosecute. The manager on duty stated he also did not want to prosecute. Watkins was intoxicated and admitted to consuming multiple drugs, including cocaine and marijuana. Watkins smelt of alcohol, was sweating, and had dilated pupils. Watkins stated he had a room at the hotel, which officers confirmed. Officers decided to take Watkins into custody as he was deemed unable to care for himself.

Nashville Muslim family brutally beats son who converts to Christianity

46-year-old Rawaa Khawaji, 29-year-old John Kadum, and 57-year-old Nick Kadum brutally assaulted their minor relative at their shared residence on Amber Hills Lane earlier this week. Police were dispatched late Monday night for a welfare check on the juvenile male, called in by his concerned employer. Officers arrived and noticed his hair was disheveled, cut haphazardly, had a scratch on the back of his right hand, and had several lumps on his face. He stated that Rawaa, his mother, John, his brother, and Nick, his father, attacked him because he had recently become a Christian and they are Muslims. He explained, in further detail, that Nick and John punched him numerous times and spat in his face and that Rawaa took a knife and scratched the back of his hand with it as they demanded him to recant and say he was Muslim. The minor victim advised that this occurred until the officers arrived, trembling as they approached. Rawaa denied that she assaulted him, but Nick and John admitted to striking him. All three were taken into custody and transported to booking.

DUI: Liset Quesada Mendoza speeds down Charlotte Pike in BMW

32-year-old Liset Quesada Mendoza was speeding on Charlotte Pike in the early hours of December 2nd. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. The BMW stopped in the roadway, and passenger princess Robert Koch stepped out of the car and approached officers aggressively, so he was detained. Then, officers spoke with Mendoza, who was visibly intoxicated and admitted to speeding and consuming alcohol. Mendoza refused to do sobriety tests, sign implied consent, or provide any information regarding her identity. Officers located her passport in her purse and were able to identify her. Mendoza was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, and not having a driver’s license.

Robert Koch, passenger princess, drunkenly assaults officer after wife’s BMW is pulled over

43-year-old Robert Barry Koch was riding as a passenger of a BMW speeding on Charlotte Pike in the early hours of December 2nd. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. The BMW stopped in the middle of the road, and Koch, the passenger, exited the vehicle after being told to remain in the car and began to rapidly advance toward Officer Mercado, causing him to draw and aim his taser at him. He was detained by another officer who arrived for assistance. They noticed Koch and the driver, Liset Quesada Mendoza, were visibly intoxicated as Koch began to curse and yell at them. Officers searched the BMW and located a Beretta PX4 Storm .40 handgun in the back seat with seven rounds in the magazine, which Koch claimed. Koch was taken into custody for possession of a firearm while under the influence, public intoxication, and assault on an officer.

Andrew Malone charged with DUI after erratic driving on interstate

22-year-old Andrew Malone was jailed on September 30th after he was pulled over on I-40 after police observed him stopping suddenly near exit 201A.  A strong odor of alcohol came from the vehicle. His pupils were abnormally large, and his eyes were bloodshot. He had trouble keeping his eyes open while speaking with officers. The passenger in the vehicle admitted that they had both been drinking.  Malone declined to perform sobriety tests and refused to give a blood sample. Officers found an empty White Claw under the driver’s seat and a Tall Boy on the passenger’s side. Malone was then taken into custody and transported to booking.
