Paul Mikkelson deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville #Arrested #PublicIntoxication

Metro Nashville Police found 31-year-old Paul Mikkelson lying down near the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in downtown Nashville before attempting to stand and stumbling into the roadway at 4th Ave South, where he fell onto the sidewalk again. Upon checking his welfare, it was quickly noticed he was extremely intoxicated, and medics were called to respond to the location. Mikkelson refused all medical assistance and didn’t have a phone in his possession to call anyone to assist him. Unable to leave him in his current condition, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

California man destroys wife’s iPhone, claims she took photo of another man at downtown Nashville Bar — William Hawkins

While in town from California, Jennifer Hawkins called police to report that while she and her husband, 40-year-old William Hawkins, were out at a bar on Broadway she took a photo of a person with her iPhone, resulting in him grabbing her phone and smashing it on the ground, destroying it. She says she was taking a photo of her husband, however, he believes she was taking a photo of another man. Officer Gault transported the wife to a nearby Apple store so she could purchase a new phone, and Officer Hill took Hawkins into custody, charging him with felony vandalism with a domestic violence rider, invoking the state-manded 12-hour hold before his release.

Nicholas Flores charged after starting fight on Broadway in downtown Nashville

26-year-old Nicholas Flores was detained by Metro Nashville Police on Broadway in downtown Nashville after noticing him fighting another bar patron in front of Acme Feed & Seed. As the fight spilled out onto the street, a crowd watched as Flores continued the fight which everyone agreed he initiated. Due to his extreme level of intoxication and inability to control himself in public, Flores was taken into custody, charged with public intoxication.

Joshua Leloup deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville #arrested

Metro Police responded to Bridgestone Arena Thursday to assist with an overly intoxicated 38-year-old Joshua Leloup. Upon arrival, they observed him with slurred speech, lethargic movements, and red, watery eyes. Police say he admitted to drinking some alcoholic beverages, and due to his inability to care for himself, he was taken into custody.

Man booted from Renaissance hotel for being drunk & disorderly — James Hill arrested

61-year-old James Jeffrey Hill was reportedly drunk and disorderly on the 14th floor of the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville Sunday evening. Police located him outside the elevator lobby, in an obvious drunken state and unable to care for himself. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Man charged with DUI after crash in Germantown — William Sidebotham

29-year-old William Sidebotham crashed his vehicle just before 9 p.m. Monday near 6th Ave. N & Jefferson. When officers found him, he was obviously intoxicated, had trouble standing, and admitted to consuming three drinks prior to driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and refused any blood or breath testing.

Sidebotham was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail and charged with DUI and violation of the implied consent law. He is free on pre-trial release.

“Yes that’s my pot, I’ve been smoking for 50 years” — Ricky Cook arrested in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police found 61-year-old Ricky Lee Cook at the Johnny Cash Museum restaurant, where staff had asked him to leave after they deemed him to be a bother to staff and patrons, and he refused to do so. Police noticed he was heavily intoxicated, and took him into custody. During a search incidental to his arrest, officers located a leather satchel with a green Tupperware container inside, which contained his personal use marijuana. When asked, he confirmed it was marijuana, and stated: “I’ve been smoking pot for 50 years”. Police charged him with drug possession and public intoxication and transported him to jail. He is free on pre-trial release.

Ohio tourist jailed after assaulting her sister during Nashville visit — Christina Scipio arrested

A family scuffle between sisters from Ohio landed 29-year-old Christina Michelle Scipio in the Metro Nashville Jail late Friday night. The family was staying in downtown Nashville when their father says he observed a fight break out between them, leaving Hannah Scipio with scratches and bruises to her face and leg. She was able to get a few hits back on Christina, including a bruise to the right corner of her mouth, but police determined Christina to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody. She is free on a $1,000 bond.

Tourist says he was “wasted” when found inside of secured federal courthouse courtyard after hours — Callan Isley

21-year-old Callan Isley, from New York, says he was “wasted” and unsure how he ended up attempting to climb a fence to get out of the secured courtyard of a federal courthouse in downtown Nashville Wednesday night. He received “minor injuries” from federal protective service officers Jason Talbert and Christopher Bullock during the arrest. #VisitMusicCity
