Local Musician Daniel Alger drunkenly throws ex-girlfriend on ground during argument

28-year-old Local Musician Daniel Alger had a domestic incident with his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Marie Caverns, at his Church Street apartment on April 26th. Officers were dispatched to a Newsom Green residence, where they spoke with Caverns. Caverns stated she was moving out of her ex-boyfriend’s apartment and had not yet relocated all her belongings. She stated while she was there collecting her things, Alger came out of his room, holding an alcoholic beverage, and appeared intoxicated. Caverns said she and Alger talked in the living room about financial and relationship issues before yelling at each other because he wanted to finish their conversation, but she did not. Caverns said she tried to pass by him to leave, and he put his arms up in a swinging motion, causing her to step back into the living room. Caverns told Alger she was not having this conversation with him and to keep his hands to himself. Caverns then tried to run past him, and he grabbed the back of her neck, hair, and jacket before throwing her to the ground, causing her to land on an amp and “smash” her knee on the floor. She provided officers with a video that showed the argument before cutting off. As well as another video that starts with her on the ground crying next to the amp while Alger stands over her, talking about what happened. Alger was deemed the primary aggressor and then was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 29th.

Angella Anderson stops roommate from calling police during altercation, says “there was no need to”

40-year-old Angella Anderson was involved in an altercation with her roommate, Rodger Duke, at their Sharpe Avenue residence on April 27th. Duke contacted law enforcement and said that while he was making a 9-11 call, he was stopped by Anderson. Duke reiterated that Anderson wrestled the cell phone out of his hand. Anderson stated that she did not want him to call the police and that “there was no need to.” Angella Anderson was taken into custody and charged with interfering with an emergency call on April 29th.

DUI: Raul Rizo blows .196% BAC after driving into police car

23-year-old Raul Rizo was seen sleeping in his vehicle, which was stopped in the middle of the road near Antioch Pike on April 29th. When officers arrived, they approached Rizo’s vehicle and noticed open beer bottles with liquid inside them. Officers told Rizo, who was sleeping inside, to turn his vehicle off numerous times, but he did not hear them. Rizo then woke up and drove into an officer’s vehicle. Rizo continued to keep his foot on the gas, causing even more damage. Officers proceeded to break the passenger side window of Rizo’s car and pulled the keys out of the ignition. Officers then placed Rizo into custody and learned Rizo was sleeping at the wheel. Officers noticed he had many signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, as well as having an extreme odor of alcohol. Rizo agreed to do a breath sample and blew a .196% BAC. Officers questioned Rizo, who stated that he had ten beers before beginning to drive. Officers received Rizzo’s information and found that Rizo did not have a valid driver’s license. Rizo was charged with DUI, No driver’s license, Vandalism, evading arrest, and open container violation.

Tamaria Williams steals numerous hair products from sister’s home

19-year-old Tamaria Williams had a domestic incident with her sister, Kayla Gains, at her Charles E Davis Boulevard residence on April 19th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Gains, who stated she and Williams had been having ongoing issues and that she had been away from her home for a few nights. Gains added that her brother, Joshua Avery, and grandmother, Karen Avery, watched her child while she was gone. Gains said when she returned home, they advised her that Williams had come over the day before around 6:00 p.m. and had taken a few items. Officers spoke with Joshua, who told them he saw Williams taking Gains’s belongings. Joshua stated he confronted Williams about taking his sister’s things, to which she replied, “Well, she took some of my stuff from me.” Williams then left the residence with a white bag containing the stolen items. Officers talked with Karen via phone, and she told them she had observed Williams taking items from the living room while saying, “This is mine,” and, “She stole this.” Karen said Williams left with a large plastic bag full of hair products and Bath and Body Works items. Then, a warrant was issued for Williams’ arrest. Williams was taken into custody for aggravated burglary on May 1st.

Steven Teem punches father in face during argument over cleaning his room

18-year-old Steven Jay Teem III had a domestic altercation with his father, Steven Jay Teem Jr., at their 50th Avenue North residence around 11 p.m. on April 30th. When officers arrived, Teem III was outside of the residence, where he told them he and Teem Jr. argued regarding the cleanliness of his bedroom, which escalated when he pushed him twice, once to the ground and then against a wall, leaving a minor cut on his right leg and an abrasion to his right arm. He said he responded by punching Teem Jr. in self-defense. Then, the police spoke with Teem Jr., Teem III’s stepmother, Tiffney Teem, and stepbrother, Ryan Mills, who made similar statements, saying Teem Jr. was attempting to take Teem III’s keyboard away for not obeying the house rules, during which Teem III started punching him repeatedly, leaving a bruise and two dark-red scratch marks on his torso, a bruise around his left eye, and a cut on his nose. Teem Jr. said he pushed him in self-defense after being struck multiple times. Teem III was deemed the primary aggressor and then was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Josue Solis kicked out of Plaza Mariachi for being too drunk

23-year-old Josue Solis was caught trespassing at the Plaza Mariachi on Nolensville Pike on April 27th. Officers made contact with security, who advised that Solis was escorted out of their bar for being overly intoxicated and pushy. Security also informed officers that Solis kept trying to return to the building through different entrances after he was kicked out. Officers advised Solis that he needed to find a way home, to which he responded by saying that he would get his brother to take him. Solis made no effort to contact his brother, so the officers reminded him, but the same behavior continued. Due to his level of intoxication, Josue Solis was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication.

Almarsuri Abbas steals $45 pants from Nike Factory Store at Tanger Outlets

18-year-old Almarsuri Abbas stole merchandise from the Nike Factory store at Tanger Outlets on Cane Ridge Parkway in the early hours of February 1st. Abbas was with two other unidentified individuals when he took a pair of $45 Nike pants to the dressing room, put them on, and then left the establishment. The incident was caught on camera. Officers identified Abbas via video footage from a previous shoplifting arrest in Franklin, Tennessee. Abbas was taken into custody for theft on May 1

Heather Delgado caught stealing $50 out of tip jar at the Thompson Hotel

45-year-old Heather Delgado was caught stealing from the Thompson Hotel on 11th Avenue South on April 1st. When officers arrived, they observed video surveillance of Delgado waiting in line to purchase a drink. When Delgado got to the front, she ordered her drink, stole $50 from the tip jar, took her drink, and left without paying. Delgado has been asked numerous times to leave the store in the past. On April 3rd, Delgado was seen trespassing at the same hotel, where staff called the police. Delgado was taken into custody and charged with Theft and Trespassing on April 30th.                       

Jeffery Kessinger drinks “half a bottle of bourbon” before falling at Nashville International Airport

57-year-old Jeffery Scott Kessinger was taken into custody for public intoxication at Nashville International Airport on April 30th. Airport police conducted a welfare check after being notified of a male, later identified as Kessinger, stumbling around and was possibly impaired. Officers located him on the floor, bleeding from the nose and right knee. Kessinger told officers he had fallen and had “half a bottle of bourbon” before arriving at the airport. Kessinger was deemed a danger to himself or others and then was detained for the incident.

Steven Miller deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

45-year-old Steven Miller was caught intoxicated downtown near a building on John Lewis Way Street. On April 30th, officers were dispatched to the building where they came in contact with Miller. Officers noticed Miller was intoxicated, and when officers questioned him, he stated that he had been drinking alcohol. Officers then noticed Miller had slurred speech, an inability to balance, and an odor of alcohol coming from him. Miller also told officers he had a hotel room, which he did not. Officers deemed Miller to be a danger to himself, and he was taken into custody for public intoxication.
