Connie Stamps charged in felony assault of elderly husband at Summit Hospital

78-year-old Connie Stamps assaulted her recovering husband in Summit Hospital on April 4th. Earlier that day, a nurse heard yelling coming from Stephen’s room, where she saw Connie slap him while calling him “a stupid son of a b/*ch.” The nurse asked Stephen if Connie slapped him, and he nodded, “Yes.” Also, he said aloud, “She has been known to do that.” An officer was assigned to Stephen Stamps, Connie’s husband, for an adult protective service referral after the incident. The officer found that Stephen had undergone surgery for a brain bleed on March 23rd, a day after he was found unresponsive.

Brandi Sawyer charged with aggravated neglect of elderly person by a caregiver

35-year-old Brandi Sawyer has been indicted by the Grand Jury, charged with one count of abuse of an elderly or vulnerable adult by a caregiver. The indictment alleges that Brandy was a caregiver to Rutelia Sawyer in November 2020 when she knowingly neglected her, causing serious physical harm. She is held in lieu of a $20,000 bond.

Nashville social content creator Jessica Lee Lewis (Pyrdum) AKA ‘NashvilleJessi’ says her husband, 52-year-old Charles Lewis, AKA DJ C Danny Lewis, attacked and strangled her after she took his phone for collateral for a bag that he took from her. Jessica went to the Family Safety Center to report the assault this week but says it happened on June 25th. She says once she gained access to the phone and decided to hold it as collateral, she ran to her son’s room and locked herself inside. She says Charles then busted down the door and jumped on top of her, strangling her across the bed until she had difficulty breathing. Her cousin recorded a video that shows a portion of the assault.

Woman assaults mother, takes $10K from bank account, upset after DNA test result — Deborah Scales

53-year-old Deborah Scales took a DNA test which revealed the man she believed to have been her biological father her entire life was not her real father. Extremely upset, she confronted her mother about the results while assisting her with rice water therapy, as her father had just died. Court records and an investigation by Adult Protective Services reveal she threw the warm rice water on her mother, set off her LifeAlert bracelet during a physical struggle, and threatened to punch her elderly mother if she told the LifeAlert operator anything was wrong. She then took $10,000 from her mother’s bank account. She is charged with felony theft, interference with a 911 call, and domestic assault. She is free on a $29,000 bond.

24-year-old Javonte Crisp, who only weeks ago graduated from APSU with his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, is now free on a $15,000 bond, accused of repeatedly slamming his girlfriend’s head into the dashboard and steering wheel of a car after getting upset with her, and further expressing his anger by firing a handgun into the air.
