Two teens, Jannette Esquivel, 19, and Aaron Trejo, 17, are charged with five separate armed hold-ups that occurred Saturday night in South Nashville, including a shooting in the 3200 block of Cloudfalls Trace that critically injured a male victim. Officers quickly responded to the robbery/shooting on Cloudfalls Trace just after 9 p.m. The victim was shot after he struggled with two young male suspects armed with handguns. Officers responded to a ‘male stabbed’ call from Cayce Homes in East Nashville on Friday night. The initial call came from a 911 call where a male simply gave the address and hung-up, followed by a second call from the same address stating that a male had been stabbed. James E Moore, Jr. (23) was arrested for the murder of Devario Kendricks (20) late Saturday night. The murder occurred earlier Saturday morning. Here’s what happened, according to documents filed to support the arrest. On Saturday morning at 8:41AM, MNPD officers were dispatched to 1511 Jefferson St to check on a white Nissan Maxima parked in a covered driveway. Centerius Bryant is starting off 2018 behind bars. Mt. Nebo Baptist Church was burglarized, the burglary was captured on the church security camera. Detective Gary Shannon viewed the video and he was able to identify the person who broke into the church as Centerius Bryant from his past dealings Bryant. The church reported a 55 inch flat screen television valued at $600.00 was taken. Centerius Bryant was charged with burglary, and is being held on a $10,000 bond.

Details have been released on the sequence of events in the murder of Louis Lisi on 12/21 on Clarksville Pike in Nashville. The victim, Louis Lisi, was at the Z-Mart operating a game of chance out of a camper trailer. According to witnesses, Lisi’s game was similar to bingo. Players would earn points based on a series of rolling balls and the points could be exchanged for prizes, including a flat-screen television. Matthew Turntine, an employee of Easy Pawn, was arrested on Wednesday after admitting to internal investigators that he had stolen from his employer, and forged transactions. According to police affidavits, Turntine admitted to an Easy Pawn investigator that he created a fake transaction of $75 in a frequent customer’s name, and took the cash from the fake transaction for himself.
