DUI: Stephany Wheeler snorted at “white substance” before driving with two small children

31-year-old Stephany Wheeler was charged with DUI early Tuesday morning after a BOLO was issued for a female erratically driving a green Dodge Journey with two children inside. Officers located the vehicle outside of a gas station. The ages of the children were ten and eight years old. Wheeler said she had one shot earlier, but her pupils were constricted, and she was unsteady on her feet and swayed as she stood. She consented to sobriety tests wish she performed poorly on. After running her information through the computer system, it was discovered her driver’s license had been revoked and she had a prior DUI conviction in 2021. A family member told police that Wheeler was at his house earlier and was acting erratic and abnormal. He could smell alcohol on her breath before getting into her vehicle and driving off. Wheeler admitted to snorting a white powdery substance earlier in the night but stated she didn’t know what the substance was.

Tyche Lewis jailed after firing shot during argument

24-year-old Tyche Lewis was arrested for a shooting in a gas station parking lot. On the 25th, officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting on West Creek Pike. Officers spoke with the victim (Quintin Couch), the passenger of the vehicle. They were trying to back into a parking spot at a gas station, and Lewis was speeding past them and had to stop quickly to avoid hitting their car. Couch started recording once Lewis started yelling as she was driving by. She pulled a gun out and pointed it at Couch. She yelled, ” I’M GOING TO SHOOT YOU, AND I DON’T CARE IF YOU CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE I AIN’T SCARED OF THEM!” After making that statement, she put a live round in the chamber and fired one shot in their direction before driving away. Officers looked up the license plate number provided from the video to get her contact information. Officers pulled up to Lewis’ home and also learned that her license had been revoked. She was then placed into custody.

DUI: Latisha Cox drives downtown on blown tire and busted axle in wrong direction

25-year-old Latisha Cox was traveling North on 4th Ave N late Friday night in downtown Nashville, despite that being a one-way Southbound street. A traffic stop was conducted as she was driving on a blown tire and a busted front axle, in addition to driving in the wrong direction. She appeared heavily intoxicated and stated she had one margarita and two shots of tequila prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests, which had to be stopped for her own safety.

Nashville Content Creator Hannah Noel Grooms charged with 2nd DUI after Antioch crash

Metro Nashville Police found 26-year-old Nashville content creator Hannah Noel Grooms standing on the side of Bell Road crying after having just driven her vehicle into the wooded ravine below, where it was flipped upside down. Grooms was very intoxicated and admitted to drinking a half bottle of wine, stating she was coming from Jonathan’s Grille in Mt. Juliet. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to Summit Hospital for treatment. She was previously convicted of DUI in Kentucky in February of 2022 and has a revoked license.

DUI: Hope Jenkins says she had “two shots” of liquor prior to crash

Police say 23-year-old Hope Alexander Jenkins was involved in an automobile crash just before midnight on August 31st on Springfield Highway. When officers arrived, they immediately noticed an open bottle of vodka on the floorboard of the vehicle and smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Jenkins. Jenkins, who admitted to drinking”two shots” of liquor before driving, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and later consented to a blood draw. She also has a prior DUI conviction in 2018, along with a suspended license.

Justice Vance charged after wild DUI & drunken escape from the scene of the wreck

24-year-old Justice Vance faces multiple charges after he swerved into the oncoming lane of travel on Hobson Pike and collided head-on with another vehicle. Instead of stopping, he drove his truck, with only a rim remaining on the right front, until it wouldn’t drive anymore and abandoned it at Murfreesboro Pike and Hamilton Church Pike. Vance then stumbled to a nearby field, where he eventually passed out, leaned up against a fence pole. Multiple bystanders and witnesses would direct officers to the crash site(s), and his final escape route until officers caught up with him as he eventually came to. He denied being in a crash but eventually admitted to drinking, and a half-empty bottle of Crown Royal was found in his truck.

30-year-old ‘Son of the South’ Joshua Carney, a paraplegic man turned motivational speaker who appeared on shows such as Swamp People & Southern Boyz, was arrested in Nashville over the weekend after admittedly drinking and using marijuana prior to driving and getting into an accident while attempting to park between a tour bus and a dumpster in downtown Nashville.
