Michael Oher Settles Out Of Court w/Uber Driver – (up to $750,000) – Criminal Charge Dismissed

Former Tennessee Titan, Michael Oher, had all charges dismissed this morning in a Nashville court, where he had been charged with misdemeanor assault against an Uber driver in the early morning hours of April 14. According to a police affidavit,  Oher pushed and kicked his Uber driver over an apparent dispute over the fare. The 911 audio call is available here. In court documents obtained, Oher was sued by the Uber driver, Girma Berkessa, for up to $250,000 in compensatory damages, and $500,000 in punitive damages. The exact amount of the settlement…

Nashville Lyft driver Lee Lazarus was driving for Lyft when he picked up a passenger earlier this month in Nashville. Nashville Uber Driver Posts Pickup Address Online After Passenger Complaint Against Him

Tom Dueringer, who has been driving for Uber for about 17 months, was driving his 2016 Ford Focus Friday night when he got a ping to pick up passengers in East Nashville. Package Thief Jessy Douglas – Sentenced to Time Served – Released From Custody

Jessica Douglas, the now locally famous ‘East Nashville Package Thief’ appeared in court today in front of Judge Melissa Blackburn. She plead guilty to ‘Theft, $1,000 or less’, and was sentenced to ‘Time Served’ which equated to 6 days in jail. Douglas will also have to pay $686.00 in court costs and $150 in restitution. Aparna Krishnan had a court date today where she faced 3 charges of Credit Card Fraud, and Theft, from when she worked at Burger Up. Krishnan admitted to taking the wallet of a co-worker, containing a drivers license, cash, and multiple credit cards. DUI Arrest: Matthew Hussey Blows 0.09 After Leaving Edgefield

Matthew Hussey was arrested early Wednesday morning for DUI, as he failed to stop at the flashing red light at N 11th and Gartland, after he left Edgefield for the night. Package Thief Jessy Douglas – Prior Theft Conviction at Macy’s of Cool Springs

Jessica Douglas, who spent her 30th birthday in jail on Sunday, had a prior conviction locally at Cool Springs Mall in May of 2014. She committed a theft (under $500) from the Macy’s at Cool Springs Galleria, for which she signed a ‘conditional’ guilty plea in August of 2014. Conditions of her conditional guilty plea included 11mo 29day supervised probation, 24 hours of community service, random and regular drug screens, and an order to not trespass onto Macy’s or Cool Springs Galleria property.
