Sgt. Matthew Evans was in his marked patrol car when he witnesses 23-year-old Joshua Holloway punching John Dudas in the face. The victim attempted to flee into the crowd, however, Holloway pursued him, and when the man fell to the ground he began to brutally punch and kick the man, who sustained serious injuries, including missing teeth. He claimed the man had assaulted one of his friends, however, multiple independent witnesses confirmed Holloway threw the first punch.
Metro Police say 39-year-old Joshua Thomas Mumaw, from Atlanta, was fighting another man in the lobby of the Noelle Hotel in downtown Nashville Friday night. While attempting to break up the fight, a female member of the hotel staff was also assaulted. By the time police arrived, Mumaw was back in his room, and police explained he had been trespassed from the property and would have to leave. He refused, and while standing in the hallway of the hotel, Mumaw suddenly bent down to a squatting position and then launched his head backward, sticking Officer Krausman in his jaw, causing an injury.
Metro Nashville Police say they attempted to help find 23-year-old Ryan Baker a ride home after he got into a fight with his brother near the pedestrian bridge late Saturday night, in an effort to avoid being arrested due to his extremely intoxicated state, but he wasn’t having any part in their assistance. They couldn’t leave him there, as he was unable to care for himself, so he was booked into custody, charged with public intoxication. He yelled, screamed, and caused a dramatic scene during his arrest.
24-year-old Nathan Alderman, from North Carolina, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail after police found him in downtown Nashville standing over another person who he was fighting, and wasn’t letting the person get up off the ground. Officers commanded him to step away so the situation could de-escalate but he refused and would not obey any commands from police. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
19-year-old Josual Daniel Williams, of Ashland City, was found absolutely intoxicated beyond safety while yelling, screaming, and attempting to fight others on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning. He admitted to only being 19 and stated he had been out drinking throughout the downtown bars all night long. Officers asked him to stop yelling and being so disorderly, however, he refused and continued to escalate the level of his annoyance to the general public. Williams was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
27-year-old U.S. Army Soldier Jose Arellano was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday night after police say he was involved in a brawl with multiple other individuals, including other soldiers, near 2nd Ave & Broadway in downtown Nashville. Court records show he told officers he was upset that one of the other brawlers had “called him a p**sy” after which he became confrontational and attempted to provoke another fight and had to be held/pulled back by officers and other individuals. He continued to be combative and was eventually taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct. Arellano is free on pre-trial release.
Police say 23-year-old musician Bitty James Ladd admitted during an interview to punching his friend, Jeffrey Webb, after a night of drinking in downtown Nashville. The assault resulted in two disfigured teeth, pain, and over $10,000 in medical costs. Ladd is charged with felony aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, and is free on a $2,500 bond.
20-year-old Laila Udoumana (@knownaslailaa) is jailed on a $13,500 bond after a brutal attack on local social media influencer Kailaaa (@kailaaax_). She reports that on June 10th, three females attacked her while inside her car. A video shows Laila busting her windshield with a car jack, slashing her tires, and attempting to break out more windows. Laila then posted to her Instagram, admitting to her role in the assault and stating “I haven’t killed you… yet”
34-year-old Robert Pride and 31-year-old Mark Johnson both bailed from a car they were fleeing in after police located it. They decided to make a run for it on foot. The pair was apprehended after a “short foot pursuit” by MNPD, as they were unable to outrun the officers, despite their best efforts.
26-year-old Stevario Midgett Jr. was charged with harassment when he threatened to kill his cousin after a fight started at a funeral because someone slandered the deceased.
