Thomas Perry deemed too drunk for Broadway

55-year-old Thomas Perry was jailed on March 14th after police responded to the area of 2nd Ave and Broadway for disorderly behavior. Officers observed Perry to have slurred speech, watery red eyes, and the odor of alcohol emitting from his body. Perry was unsteady on his feet as he admitted to drinking two beers and smoking marijuana recently. Due to Perry’s obvious state of extreme intoxication, officers determined he was a danger to himself and placed him into custody.

Luis Delgado assaults ex-girlfriend with tobacco pipe pick during argument in car

23-year-old Luis Delgado was booked on an outstanding warrant from December 15th,  2023, when he assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Citilally Arellano stated that she and Delgado had been broken up for two months. Earlier that day, the couple had argued in the car. The argument escalated when Delgado assaulted her with a tobacco pipe pick, causing visible injury. When officers responded to Amalie Drive, they witnessed Delgado take off on foot, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Delgado was arrested on March 6th.

Brensley Pulisi jumps on boyfriend’s back, assaults him from behind after becoming upset

20-year-old Brensley Pulisi was booked on March 6th for assaulting her boyfriend at her home on Selsey Court South. Kesean Bowen stated that he picked up his girlfriend and took her home. Bowen advised that this is where Pulisi became upset and started taking her anger out on him. Bowen explained that when he tried to leave, Pulisi jumped on his back and began hitting him. Bowen tried to go downstairs, but Pulisi followed him and continued to hit him from behind. Officers observed scratch marks and dried blood on Bowen’s fingers and left ear. Bowen also had a busted lip and blood on his chin. Pulisi was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 6th.

Curtis Fletcher Jr. shoots gun at juvenile ex-girlfriend’s car during altercation

20-year-old Curtis Fletcher Jr. was booked on an outstanding warrant from December 3rd, 2023, after police were dispatched for a shooting. When officers arrived, they spoke with Juvenile Victim One and Madison Hines, who advised that they were at a gathering with some friends when Curtis approached them with his girlfriend. Curtis then began arguing with the juvenile victim and Madison, so they decided to leave and started heading toward their car. They noticed Curtis and his girlfriend getting into a car as well, and as soon as they pulled off, Curtis sped up to them and fired shots into their car before driving away. Officers observed holes in the vehicle and a flat tire from being shot. The bullets hit neither Madison nor the juvenile. The two advised officers that Curtis was upset with the juvenile for an unknown reason. Apparently, Curtis used to be in a relationship with the juvenile victim, and they have mutual friends, which could be why he was also invited to the gathering. According to the juvenile, Curtis is known to carry a gun and has done things like this in the past. Police tried to contact Curtis but could not until he was arrested for the incident on March 3

Bryan Daniels found passed out drunk on balcony of stranger’s Airbnb

36-year-old Bryan Daniels attempted to enter an Airbnb without permission at Rep. John Lewis Way on March 3rd. When officers arrived, The complainant stated that Daniels was outside sleeping on their balcony. Daniels was barely conscious when the officers were speaking to him. They asked him where he was staying, but he was unable to communicate due to his level of intoxication. Officers had to hold Daniel’s body up as he was placed into custody and transported to booking on March 3rd.

DUI: Jarred Ferrell caught driving on revoked license with 2 children in car

27-year-old Jarred Ferrell was jailed on March 3rd after a state trooper pulled him over on Donaldson Pike for driving without wearing a seatbelt. The trooper approached the black SUV and advised that in addition to not wearing a seatbelt, Ferrell also had two children strapped improperly in car seats in the vehicle’s back seat. Ferrell advised the trooper that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license and handed over his Tennessee state ID, which revealed his license was revoked for a DUI out of Murray County on February 7th, 2016. As the trooper placed Ferrell under arrest, they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and asked if he had been drinking. Ferrell admitted to drinking earlier in the morning and consented to a blood sample. A criminal report showed that Ferrell was previously arrested for driving with a revoked license on February 7th, 2019, in Giles County. Ferrell was then transported to the hospital for a blood draw before booking.

DUI: Crystal Fennell whips children while high on drugs at Waffle House

41-year-old Crystal Fennell was jailed on March 3rd after complaints of a woman pushing her kids and swinging a whip at them inside the Waffle House on Old Hickory Boulevard. Witnesses stated that Fennell had entered the restaurant with two children and began behaving erratically. During this time, the witness observed Fennell push both children and swing a whip at them. Officers tried to speak with Fennell, but she wasn’t making sense. From their professional experience, the officers believed that Fennell was under the influence of either meth or cocaine due to her behavior. Officers determined the abused children were ages 5 and 6 and belonged to Fennell. Officers also discovered that she was in possession of a multi-lashed whip.

 Multiple complainants stated they saw Fennell arrive, driving a white Chevrolet suburban. Officers decided that it was unsafe for Fennell to perform sobriety tests due to her fidgeting and constant pulling away, fearing Fennell would run into traffic.

 When Fennell was arrested, she began complaining of chest pains, to which officers requested an ambulance. While at Nashville General Hospital, she admitted to drinking some alcohol and then spat in Officer Heaton’s face. Crystal Fennell was taken into custody on March 3rd for assault on an officer, DUI with a child, and two counts of child abuse.

18-year-old Joshua Leach jailed during pursuit over possible kidnapping

18-year-old Joshua Leach was jailed on February 28th when police were dispatched for a female who had been abducted by two males in a silver Nissan. The complainant followed the vehicle throughout Nashville. Police intercepted the car and attempted a traffic stop, but it refused to pull over. The police deployed spikes at the intersection of Clarksville Pike and Ed Temple Boulevard. The vehicle was then abandoned, and after a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended Mr. Leach, who was carrying a loaded handgun. The officers later discovered that the vehicle they were chasing had been reported stolen. Mr. Leach admitted to owning the firearm and being inside the stolen car. Leach also had an outstanding probation warrant. Leach was taken into custody on February 28th for unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest, and weapon possession.

Elmer Oporta-Gonzalez assaults his little brother for arguing with mother

24-year-old Elmer Oporta-Gonzalez was jailed on February 27th for assaulting his little brother. Officers were dispatched to McClellan Avenue for a juvenile with a knife. When officers arrived, they spoke with a victim who advised that an argument started in his room between him and his mom. While they were arguing, his older brother, Elmer, came into his room, grabbed him by the neck, and started to strike him in the leg. While being assaulted, the victim saw a knife and grabbed it. He stated that he had no intentions of using the knife and that when he picked up the knife, Elmer ran out of the room. The victim didn’t follow Elmer but instead stayed in his room. Officers observed multiple scratch marks on the victim’s neck.

Elmer advised that he heard his little brother arguing with his mother while in another room. So, he went into his brother’s room and tried to subdue him by grabbing his arms. However, being subdued only upset his brother more, prompting him to grab a knife. Officers noted that Elmer later changed his story and admitted to throwing himself at his little brother. When officers asked the mother what happened, she said she didn’t know because she didn’t see the altercation between her sons. Due to the observed injuries and the initial statements, Elmer was determined to be the primary aggressor.

Geri Wray threatens to kill boyfriend with hammer, tells him “I’m going to kill you and slurp your blood!”

41-year-old Geri Wray was jailed on February 27th after threatening to kill her boyfriend at their home on McPherson Drive. Bryan Lee Brinkley told officers that he and Geri lived together but stayed in separate rooms. According to Brinkley, Geri came into his room with a hammer in her hand and struck his door. She then held the hammer in her hand and told him, “I have been wanting to kill you for the last three days,” “I’m going to kill you and slurp your blood,” “I’m going to get guys to fuck you up and kill you.” Brinkley then fled the house and called police. When Brinkley returned to the house, Geri returned with a hammer and busted all the windows out of his vehicle. Officers observed broken windows, dents, and mirrors damaged on the car and questioned Geri. Geri told officers that Brinkley came back home and was taunting him, so she used a baseball bat to destroy his vehicles.
