42-year-old Luke Krall was charged with DUI Saturday night at a parking lot near 3rd & Broadway, where he crashed. He told police he had attended the Music City Brewer’s Festival, where he had “3 beers”. He is free on a $1,500 cash bond.

MNPD isn’t apologizing for arresting citizens on a felony charge repealed 2 years ago

Metro Nashville Police Public Affairs Manager Don Aaron says Officer Ronald Bright “acted in good faith” when, in June of 2021, he arrested a citizen and charged with them with felony “habitual motor offender”, a law that was repealed by the state legislature over two years ago which carried a punishment of up to 6 years in prison. A magistrate even signed the warrant, jailed the citizen, and required them to post a large cash bond to get out of jail – on a charge that no longer existed. Scoop: Nashville learned this scenario has played out over 20 times in the last 17 months, leaving citizens at a loss for the money spent for high cash bond amounts, towing/storage fees, public humiliation, lost wages & jobs, and other expenses due to the invalid arrests.

34-year-old Charles Gregory Knalls is charged with aggravated burglary after he broke through the window of a West Nashville home and grabbed the leg of a sleeping female resident. The #BearMaceBandit strikes again, this time police say he sprayed his boyfriend with the powerful irritant during an argument last August in the middle of the pandemic. Police say Masi Kingston, 29, used the spray that’s 3x the power of police issued spray and travels 35 feet, on his boyfriend before driving a vehicle into his boyfriend’s vehicle, while he was inside it. Police found the victim with broken glass on his eye and nose, blood on his shirt, and drenched in milk, from an attempt to ease the pain of the bear mace.

Trio from 5-member shoplifting ring charged in thefts at Mapco stores

Masi Kingston is the latest to be charged in series of Mapco thefts from 2019. He was served overnight as he was transferred into the Metro Nashville Jail. He will join two more co-defendants, Jerock Walker and Annisha Holmes, who were previously arrested, on their next court date to answer to the charges.

MNPD arrests woman in mental health crisis, but not husband who beat & bruised her with a belt

Metro Nashville Police Tuesday arrested a 59-year-old woman having a mental health crisis, but not her husband who admitted to knocking her over, taking his belt off and lashing her multiple times, and leaving her face severely bruised from assaulting her. Police say the man had no injuries from her alleged attacks, while she suffered severe bruising from her husband’s attack. They took the woman into custody, charging her with domestic assault.
