Woman stabs boyfriend as he breaks up with her; steals Social Security Card “so he will come back”

On March 29th, Metro Nashville Police found D’Ante Leo Johnson leaning out of his car, covered in blood in North Nashville. His girlfriend, 23-year-old Deja Nicole McClain, admitted to stabbing him in the head with a large knife after he broke up with her. She also stole his social security card “so he would have to come back”. She is free on a $10,000 bond.

Musician Graham Nancarrow admits to punching man in Kid Rock’s elevator while intoxicated

32-year-old Musician Graham Nancarrow is charged with public intoxication and assault, after admitting to punching a man in the elevator at Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk & Steakhouse in downtown Nashville, leaving him with a black eye and scratches. He claims he “feared for his life” but was unable to articulate why.

MNPD arrests woman in mental health crisis, but not husband who beat & bruised her with a belt

Metro Nashville Police Tuesday arrested a 59-year-old woman having a mental health crisis, but not her husband who admitted to knocking her over, taking his belt off and lashing her multiple times, and leaving her face severely bruised from assaulting her. Police say the man had no injuries from her alleged attacks, while she suffered severe bruising from her husband’s attack. They took the woman into custody, charging her with domestic assault.

Man robs his mother of her tax refund with a gun to her head

24-year-old Austin Travis Pulley is charged with felony aggravated robbery after he held a gun to his mother’s head and demanded her H&R Block tax refund card. When she didn’t oblige, he struck her on the right side of her face, took the card from her wallet, and fled the residence.

Whip-It Canister & 100+ empty cartridges found in lap of man passed out behind the wheel #IWantMyLawyer

34-year-old Nicholas Beaty was found passed out behind the wheel of a white Mini Cooper with a whip-it canister and over 100 empty cartridges in his lap and front seat area of the vehicle. The keys were in the ignition and the music was blaring. To his right sat two empty Bud Light Lime bottles. Police say he was “angry, agitated, and dazed” when they shook him awake, and refused each and every question, simply demanding his lawyer.

Man admits to inflating price of LSD for “drunk college girls” after being found with 20 hits of acid

25-year-old Dallas Lee Burke is held on a $54,500 bond after he crashed his vehicle and inside officers found 20 hits of acid (LSD), empty and full beer cans, and marijuana. Burke admitted to selling hits of acid, but not making it, though officers noted a unique tattoo on his arm, which he disclosed was the “scientific formula for acid”, according to an affidavit.

Police say man was emotional and “conversing with a tree” prior to arrest by petty cop

Goodlettsville Police charged 31-year-old Zackary Ryan Phillips with public intoxication after finding him “conversing with a tree” and “becoming very emotional” during said conversation. Phillips admitted to taking Suboxone earlier in the evening. Officer Herendeen then became petty, causing an $1,100 bond to become over $11,000 after he missed something during his search of the man who was unable to even remain conscious during interactions.

Old Hickory sports coach charged with photographing minor in shower of his home

36-year-old Jeremy Morphis is held in a Nashville jail on a $75,000 bond after a Grand Jury indicted him for illegal photography of a minor. He is alleged to have set up a camera in the bathroom of his home and photographed an underage relative while they were showering. The indictment says the photo was taken for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification. Morphis was a beloved coach of children’s sports in Nashville / Old Hickory, including DuPont-Hadley middle school, and at one point he was a guard at RiverBend Prison.
