Nashville rideshare driver kicks couple out of car, female then assaults her soldier boyfriend #arrested

Metro Police say 21-year-old Whitney Gray and her boyfriend we out drinking at downtown Nashville bars Saturday night, when they got a rideshare to take them back home to Ft. Campbell. They were in the vehicle when they began to verbally argue, and the driver stopped at a convenience store at 1702 West End Avenue, and kicked them out of the vehicle, telling them they would have to get a different driver.

MNPD Officer David Crisman was stopped by an Uber driver at 14th Ave S. & Demonbreun. The driver stated he had a passenger that was intoxicated to the point he wasn’t sure what to do with her. The passenger, identified as Jolene McKillop, was unsure about her destination, and kept changing her mind during the ride, not knowing where she really needed or wanted to go. Let without a specific destination, the Uber driver sought assistance.

The cop then grabs the man’s backpack strap, pulls him back to the patrol car, where he and 2 other offices used force to handcuff him for ‘refusal to comply with an order’. Shaunqueen Leatherman, 23, is charged with domestic assault after police say she tried to yank her boyfriend of his vehicle, and assaulted him, when he arrived to assist with her flat tire. Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to Lifeway Plaza on May 14th for a call of a domestic assault in progress.
