Tourist Jonathan Becnel so drunk the jail refused to take him #VisitMusicCity

21-year-old Jonathan Patrick Becnel was sitting on the ground outside of Nudie’s Honky Tonk when officers working the Entertainment District Initiative stopped to check on his welfare as he appeared very intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Becnel was unable to stand on his own, and as officers attempted to get him to medics, he began to push and get away. He was then taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest as he was combative during the entire encounter. Once at booking, DCSO staff refused to accept Becnel due to his extreme level of intoxication, so he was then taken to Metro General Hospital via ambulance.

Florida Man Rasheed Knight shoves cop while interfering with an investigation downtown

Metro Nashville Police were responding to a fight at Ole Red on Broadway in downtown Nashville and had detained one of the involved parties. Suddenly, 34-year-old Rasheed Knight walked and inserted himself into the situation and attempted to pull the involved party away from police and out of the venue. Officers explained they had to collect some information from the other party, and Knight then shoved Officer Butler with both hands while swearing and shouting. Knight was quickly taken into custody and transported to booking.

Jack Beckham bites officer during arrest on Broadway in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville police working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville late Saturday night say 24-year-old Jack Elliot Beckham refused to leave The Valentine on Broadway. They arrived to find Beckham unsteady on his feet and extremely intoxicated. He had been denied entry due to his level of intoxication and refused to leave the front area of the business, blocking other patrons from entering. As he was being taken into custody for disorderly conduct, Beckham began fleeing from police. Officers caught up with the Brentwood native and took him to the ground. Beckham then bit Officer Tyler Jordan’s left hand, causing a laceration injury.

Tourist Marcel Gonzalez knees MNPD Officer in groin when attempting to adjust his cuffs after arrest

Metro Nashville Police responded to an intoxicated trespasser at the JW Marriott Hotel Friday in downtown Nashville. Hotel staff identified a person in the valley lane, 33-year-old Marcel Gonzalez, as the man who refused to leave and was “frothing at the mouth.” Officers attempted to locate a friend or relative to help him get to his destination or to retrieve him but were unable to contact anyone despite multiple attempts. He was then deemed to be a danger to himself and taken into custody. He refused to be cuffed and actively resisted when officers were cuffing him. Once at the downtown detention center inside the Sally port, Gonzalez complained his cuffs were hurting him due to the tightness. Officers approached him and attempted to loosen his cuffs for his satisfaction, at which point he kneed Officer James Hill in the groin.

Broadway brawl ends after long struggle; woman spits on 4 MNPD Officers

Eryanna Giles says she was walking on the sidewalk in front of Nudie’s on Broadway when 22-year-old Shawntranise Waller suddenly punched her and pushed her out of the way. A large brawl then broke out, and 22-year-old Roneqwua Hayes and 21-year-old Janeshia Leggs both joined in the fight. Leggs and Hayes were quickly apprehended by nearby officers who observed the fight, however, as they approached Waller to take her into custody she began to resist and fight the Metro Nashville Police Officers. It took nearly a half-dozen officers 5-7 minutes to get her into custody, according to their own report. She spit on 4 officers during the battle, including Arnold Ricket, Michael Waltz, Robert Leverick, and Lucas Thomas.. Once they put shackles on her and got her into the rear of a transport vehicle she stated “I am sorry for spitting on you; at least I don’t have HIV”.

Tourist Devon Feager threatens to beat MNPD officers & “break them in half”

Metro Nashville Police responded to 416 Broadway for a fight involving another person. After that person was arrested for public intoxication, 35-year-old Top Flite Financial Sr. Sales Manager Devon Feager began to be verbally abusive to officers at the scene. When asked to calm down and move along, he made specific threats against officers. Officers gave him one last warning and chance to walk away, however, Devon Feager then told officers he was going to “beat them and break them in half”. As he was being arrested on multiple charges, he used all of his body weight to pull away and had to be taken to the ground to be taken into custody.

Aisha Williams rolled up her sleeves, chest bumped an officer & said “I am about that honey, believe me!”

Police say 36-year-old Aisha Williams was trespassing at a retirement community in Madison on Friday and when she refused to leave they attempted to place her under arrest as she was recording them. They claim she “chest bumped” an officer, rolled up her sleeves, assumed an aggressive fighting stance, and stated: “I am about that honey, believe me, I am about that!!” She continued to aggress toward officers and pull her hands away from being cuffed until she was tased into compliance.

Trent Martin punches THP trooper in face as he’s crossing the street in downtown Nashville

Police say 26-year-old Trent Martin was on Broadway in downtown Nashville Saturday when he was crossing the street near 3rd Ave. As he passed by THP Trooper Andrew Simunic he turned and punched the officer square in the face with his fist and fled. He was charged with public intoxication and assault of an officer.

Drunk Nashville Airport passenger arrested after putting hands on Airport Police Officer — Anita McPherson

52-year-old Anita McPherson was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail and charged with public intoxication after she was reportedly drunken and belligerent at the Nashville Internation Airport and put her hands on the chest of an Airport Police Officer who was attempting to assist her in finding a ride off the property after. She had been denied boarding due to her extreme level of intoxication and was refusing to leave the gate area when police initially encountered her.

Man chases neighbor with traffic cone, throws game controller at cop — Kevin Sullivan

MNPD Officer Gregory Scott charged 30-year-old Kevin Sullivan with assault of an officer when he says Sullivan threw a video game controller at him during a mental health crisis, and while it did not hit him, he states he was “in fear of being hurt by the object”. Sullivan was also charged with vandalism after breaking a neighbor’s windshield with a piece of furniture, and another assault charge when he threatened to shoot the same neighbor, who says he was in fear he would follow through with the threat. Sullivan remains jailed in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
