Woman deemed too drunk for Tin Roof Demonbreun — Katelyn Bowles arrested #VisitMusicCity

26-year-old Katelyn Abigail Bowles was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail after security at Tin Roof Demonbreun alerted officers she had become too intoxicated and was refusing to leave. Officers attempted to assist her with finding who she was with, or to call a ride, however she stated she didn’t want any assistance while unable to stand on her own without leaning on people and fixtures.

She was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Man slaps mother, threatens to “sharpen a spoon and cut her heart out” — Eric Randell

33-year-old Eric Randell, who lives with his mother, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday after telling her he would “sharpen a spoon and cut out her heart.” The argument reportedly began when she confronted her adult son over what she described as his “drinking problem.” She asked him to leave her home after the incident, at which time she says he slapped her in the face, causing an injury to her lip. Police took Randell into custody, charging him with domestic assault. Randell remains jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Intoxicated teen arrives at Nashville Airport passed out in back of Uber — Jacob Cornelius #VisitMusicCity

19-year-old Jacob Cornelius was charged with public intoxication at the Nashville International Airport after his Uber arrived at the terminal early Sunday morning with him passed out in the back seat. The rideshare driver had alerted airport police, who arrived and had an “extremely hard time” waking the teen from his alcohol-induced slumber. Too intoxicated to even stand, much less fly, he was wheeled to a patrol car and transported to booking, where he was charged with public intoxication.

DUI: ICU nurse blows double legal limit after falling asleep in line at Krystal drive-thru— Jazmen Flowers

25-year-old Cardiovascular ICU Travel Nurse Jazmen Flowers was found drunk and asleep behind the wheel of her vehicle at a Krystal’s drive-thru in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police say they approached her vehicle in the line after being notified her the situation, and she ‘lurched’ the vehicle several feet forward as they woke her. She reportedly reeked of alcohol and admitted to drinking vodka & cranberry drinks earlier in the evening. She was charged with DUI and transported to booking, where she blew a 0.17 BAC just over double the legal limit. She is free on pre-trial release.

Son too drunk to care for himself after father ‘fell on ground’ and taken to hospital — Ethan Burton

23-year-old Ethan Burton was found on Woodland Street in East Nashville Sunday afternoon as medics were tending to his father’s bleeding face wound from “falling on the ground”. They were outside his father’s vehicle on the sidewalk, and police determined Burton was “very intoxicated”. Medics transported his father to this hospital for his injures. Ethan told officers he had no keys to his father’s residence and did not know anyone in the area to call to come to get him. Due to his level of intoxication, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

DUI: woman ‘sleeps it off’ behind wheel of running vehicle overnight, still blows 0.087 the next morning — Lindsey Dixon

34-year-old Lindsey Dixon was charged with DUI Friday morning after officers found her slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle on Music Circle East. Initially concerned she may be in need of medical attention, officers stopped to check on her, at which time she began telling officers the story of why she was parked in this location, which they noted she “was rambling and talking in circles, but did manage to tell officers she had been drinking the night before”. She eventually blew a 0.087 BAC, even after having been asleep behind the wheel of the running car for a few hours. Dixon was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail and is free on pre-trial release.

Mt. Juliet Restaurant owner charged in assault of girlfriend — Thomas Courtney arrested, yet again.

The 52-year-old troubled alcoholic Mt. Juliet restaurant owner, Thomas P. Courtney, has been booked into jail yet again and released on his own recognizance, this time after assaulting his girlfriend, leaving her badly bruised. Court records show the pair were driving on I-40 when he began swerving and driving erratically in response to an argument over a text message, and when she attempt to get the car back under control, he crashed the car off the road, pulled her out, and assaulted her by kicking her in the face, leaving her in the mud, locking the car, and walking away from the scene. A Wilson County magistrate released him on his own recognizance, as with most of his other dozen arrests. He was arrested again the following day for violating his Wilson County Probation, has multiple open DUI & other cases in both Wilson County and Nashville, and refuses to abide by interlock restrictions. Man charged with Public Intoxication at Dogwood Bar — Donovan Staley found unresponsive by patrons

Patrons of the Dogwood Nashville Bar flagged down police after noticing 30-year-old Donovan Staley was on the ground and unresponsive. He was initially unresponsive to chest rubs when medics arrived, but later rose to his feet and refused all assistance. He was transported to booking, charged with public intoxication.

Former Employee returns to Music Valley bar with knife, threatening staff & others — Nicole Riley

27-year-old Nicole Riley remains jailed in lieu of a $10,050 bond after returning to her former place of employment, The Nashville Palace, and the adjacent bar, Scoreboard, armed with a knife and causing a scene. After being ejected from one bar for being too intoxicated on arrival, she went to the other, dumped beer out behind the bar, cursing employees and patrons, then threatening staff with the knife.

Man charged with public intoxication after refusing to leave parking lot of complex he didn’t live at — Terrance McAboy

36-year-old Terrance McAboy was found sitting in a vehicle parked at an apartment complex where he didn’t live early Sunday morning. Metro Police came in contact with him during the course of a domestic disturbance investigation at the location, and he refused to leave the property when asked to do so. Upon further observation, he was visibly intoxicated, with slurred speech and trouble balancing. He was taken into custody, charged with public intoxication.
