Kayla Collier assaults wife after getting caught cheating

27-year-old Kayla Collier had a domestic incident with her wife, Jamie Edwards, at their Ewing Drive residence around 10:02 p.m. on June 6th. Edwards spoke with responding officers and told them that earlier in the evening, she discovered Collier had cheated on her, so she put all her clothes at the front door, which she locked with the latch, preventing her from entering with her keys. When Collier returned, Edwards saw her on the ring bell camera breaking through the door, sparking an argument in the hallway, where Collier pushed her onto the stairs. Collier then went to her bedroom, took two plants, and threw them outside, causing the pots to break. Edwards added that she responded by throwing Collier’s bag on the ground, which was when Collier punched her in the face and threw her ring doorbell in the nearby wooded area. Officers deemed Collier the primary aggressor and obtained a warrant for Collier’s arrest. Collier was taken into custody for domestic assault on June 7th.

Tennessee Brew Works sues over an anonymous review that was deleted, accusing employee & founder of using ‘N-word’

Tennessee Brew Works has filed a “John Doe” lawsuit against the person that left an anonymous review, which claimed to overhear brewer Matt Simpson and the company’s founder Christian Spears using the ‘N-word’ during a tour of the brewery. Though the review was posted on social media for a short period of time, it was eventually removed and had disappeared into the ethers of the internet. The company, however, was determined to let the world know it was not racist, and filed a defamation lawsuit against the person, including what was essentially a list of the company’s “black friends” and “POC Events” it and its founders participated in, as evidence it, nor its founders, were racist. They also included the deleted review as an exhibit, which will now be back on the internet, as part of this story.
