Officers noted: “his pants were unzipped at the time of this arrest”.
29-year-old Zachary Pollack told police he was “high on shrooms” when they caught him with a purple Lego bunny rabbit at the ‘Nature Pop’ exhibit at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens Monday night. Security believed he was trying to steal the artwork, however, Zach says he just “thought it would be funny if it moved”.
If enough people call something a scam, it’s probably a scam. Nashville company ‘Vacations4You, owned by Greg Minor of Mt. Juliet, filed a lawsuit today asking a judge to issue an injunction on the speech of a customer who gave them a bad review, and called them a “scam”. They’re asking for the judge to order their customer to stop giving them bad reviews… of which they have dozens from other unhappy clients. The company’s own reputation is so shady that the first ‘FAQ’ on the website has to explain “We are not a scam”.
A 22-year-old Ft. Campbell Soldier, Tyreece Stephen, ventured to Nashville for the first time Saturday night. After an altercation in front of the Lucky Bastard Saloon, he would end up a booked and bloody mess. The next day he would post on social media that his first visit to Nashville couldn’t have gone worse.
19-year-old Robert Lewis Bell, Jr., was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this week on a Grand Jury indictment charging him with 3 counts of statutory rape of a 14-year-old victim.
Jack Sheer (19), Cade Kark (18), and Andrew Chung (18), were all jailed Wednesday after a traffic stop led Belle Meade Police to discover multiple fake IDs, a cow’s head with liquor bottles and a bong inside, rolled up dollar bills, and baggies and baggies of cocaine. The boys claimed “some guy gave them the cocaine in the parking lot”. One of the teens is the son of Jason Sheer, owner of the Tin Roof Nashville.
38-year-old Tamara Nance was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Wednesday, after police say she blocked her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle in a parking garage so he couldn’t escape and chased him through the parking garage and into the emergency department, all while showering him with pepper spray and screaming at him. This incident occurred just four hours after the couple ended their dating relationship.
The world was shocked when MNPD Officer Andrew Delke was suddenly offered a 3-year plea deal for the on-duty murder of Daniel Hambrick. Hambrick’s family wasn’t even consulted on the terms. What wasn’t known at the time was that Delke’s attorney, David Raybin, had testified on behalf of Glenn Funk in his own case previously, keeping him out of some serious ethical trouble – and making this sudden sweetheart deal seem even more unusual. Funk likely assumed no one would find out about the prior beneficial relationship because that case wasn’t available to the public – until now.
27-year-old Brandon Duncan faces a multitude of charges after police say that during an interview from the trauma unit at Vanderbilt Hospital, he admitted to smoking “one blunt” several hours before crashing his vehicle near Bellevue, which injured his 2-year-old child on July 2nd, and caused another passenger to be impaled by a stick.
In late June, a well-known attorney was in court for a hearing after MNPD charged him with assault of an officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. People present during that hearing report the officer recanted his sworn affidavit on the stand. Scoop Nashville immediately requested those court recordings, which are traditionally provided within 1-2 days. Nine days later, the office replied they had expunged those public records.
