De’Jone Johnson charged in Walmart Burglary of $1,187 in merchandise

Police say 29-year-old De’Jone La’Mar Johnson walked into the Walmart on Dickerson Pike, selected $1,187.40 worth of merchandise, and attempted to walk out of the store without paying. He was stopped at the doors by loss prevention, who noted that Johnson was previously trespassed from Walmart in March, which now made this a burglary.

Michael Green charged with marijuana possession by petty Goodlettsville Police

19-year-old Michael Green was stopped by Goodlettsville Police on Rivergate Parkway, and during the encounter police say they developed probable cause to search the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, Officer William Campbell says he found drug paraphernalia and 14 grams of marijuana, for which he charged Green.

Ning Wang continues to show up at ex-wife’s home, refuses to leave

54-year-old Ning Wang is charged with aggravated criminal trespass after police say he showed up at the back door of his ex-wife’s residence on Tyne Blvd and refused to leave on November 2nd. He continued to knock on the back door, demanding to be let in, despite having not lived there in quite some time. Officers responded to similar incidents several times this year, the most recent in October, and Wang understood he was not allowed to be on the property but continued to return.

Bruce Castille-Johnson charged in two assaults of ex-girlfriend at their home

54-year-old Bruce Johnson-Castille was booked into jail this week on two outstanding domestic violence warrants where his ex-girlfriend, Sharee Shanklin, was the victim. A September 9th incident alleges Bruce threatened to punch her in the face while they were in the backyard and invited her into the house so he could “beat her ass inside.” She says he then lunged at her, causing her to fall and sustain injuries. On October 15th, she says Bruce suddenly grabbed her by the shirt, threw her to the ground, and punched her multiple times in her face and across her body.

Jahya Maxwell attempted to rob Rivergate 7-Eleven, ended up throwing donuts around the store

Police say 18-year-old Jahya Maxwell came to the 7-Eleven on Long Hollow Pike, where she is no longer employed, and attempted to get into the cash register. She pushed two current employees, Reade Herskovitz and Shellie Vickers, and assaulted him. When she was unable to get into the cash register, she threw a cup of water at Herskovitz and knocked over a chip rack. In a final act of frustration, Maxwell emptied the donuts from the donut case and threw them around the store.

Nathaniel Reed vandalizes woman’s car when he’s unable to ‘make the baby batter’ — $5K bond

49-year-old Nathaniel Reed is charged with vandalism after he broke the taillight on a woman’s car after his ‘little friend’ was unable to unlock the ‘ultimate achievement’ due to his level of intoxication. Officers responded to the call just before 2 a.m. Friday and met with Frances Warren, who was distraught and in distress, stating that Reed was upset and drinking alcohol and became irate toward her when he was unable to ‘make the batter’ while they were intimate. She says he went outside the residence and she heard something break, and when officers arrived, it was discovered Reed had shattered the tail light on her vehicle.

Thomas Dwyer punches cop in face multiple times in downtown Nashville during struggle

At 2 a.m. Friday, Metro Nashville Police responded to an officer needing assistance call on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Officer Brenton Adcox says he came upon 38-year-old Thomas Dwyer, who was assaulting another man. As he commanded Dwyer to stop, Dwyer turned on the officer and began to punch him in the face and head multiple times before Officer Adcox could get him restrained. Dwyer stated he had “a few drinks” but felt he wasn’t drunk, and he claimed the man he was fighting had stolen his hat.

Lindsey Brewer admits to drinking wine & hard seltzer before DUI crash

36-year-old Lindsey Brewer told police she consumed two glasses of wine and one can of hard seltzer prior to crashing her vehicle into another vehicle on Edmonson Pike in the overnight hours into Sunday morning. Brewer was reportedly unsteady on her feet and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was transported to Metro General for a blood draw and then to booking, where she was charged with DUI.

Brittney Calhoun charged in “girl’s night out” DUI crash in East Nashville

30-year-old Brittney Calhoun told police she was “in town for a girl’s night and going to some bars” when they found her and a passenger crashed in East Nashville at 3:30 a.m. Saturday. She had driven her vehicle into two parked cars on the side of the road. Further questioning revealed that her drink of choice was Vodka & Red Bull, and she consumed “a couple” while at the bars. She says she blacked out and doesn’t remember any of the crash. Officers located two large Bud Light cans that were open and leaking alcohol into the driver’s side of the car, along with another opened bottle of alcohol in the front. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI. Her passenger was transported to Centennial hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Ricardo Chavez Martinez holds teen son’s face into pillow until he loses consciousness

43-year-old Ricardo Chavez Martinez was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant from July charging him with the felony aggravated assault & strangulation of his 15-year-old son. Ricardo assumed his son was on drugs, which the child denied. Later, when the child was asleep, Ricardo entered his bedroom and pressed the child’s face into a pillow while gripping his neck, causing the child to lose consciousness and leaving him with injuries from his fingernails digging into his neck. The child’s mother and two younger brothers witnessed the entire assault.
