Teen charged in assault of boyfriend & Opry Mills Nike Store Theft — Tyniya Givans

18-year-old Tynia Givans was booked into the Metro Nashville jail this week, charged with the domestic assault of her intimate partner, and father of her child, James Coleman. Police interviewed multiple witnesses, including Shemeka Eddie, Walter Welch, and Anniqua Steele. In the end, it was determined that the couple was in an argument on 14th Ave N inside a car. James eventually exited the vehicle, and his mother, Shemeka, agreed to drive Tynia home. As he exited the car, Tynia is accused of grabbing his hair while yelling at him, and attempting to assault him, however, his mother came between them and intervened.

At the time of her arrest, Givans was also booked on an outstanding citation for theft, from a November 2021 incident in which she was found to be fleeing the Opry Mills Nike store with $902 worth of merchandise she had just boosted. She made it to the parking lot and hid behind a car before being issued a theft citation at the time, for which she never self-booked on. She was given a $500 bond on each charge and posted bail the following day.

Teen breaks into stranger’s home & makes himself at home — George Ayman Sourial arrested

19-year-old George Ayman Sourial, of Murfreesboro, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday after police were dispatched to a burglary call on Edith Avenue. Inside the residence, police found Sourial, who had opened a locked side gate and kicked open the rear door before coming inside and making himself at home. The actual resident of the home did not know who Sourial was, or why he was there. Sourial was charged with aggravated criminal trespass and is free on a $1,000 bond.

18-year-old charged with groping 14-year-old victim on school bus — John Demonte Crutcher

18-year-old John Demonte Crutcher was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Friday, charged with the sexual battery of a 14-year-old female victim on a school bus in November. Crutcher admitted to “groping” the young girl’s breast and said he shouldn’t have touched her. The victim says he placed his hand on her thigh while sitting next to her on the school bus, stared at his hand, and stated “to grab or not to grab” before grabbing her. She pushed him away, and the incident was confirmed by a witness. Crutcher is free on a $1,000 bond.

Teen found in stolen car that breaks down hours later; mom says not so fast, son — Zyon Webb

18-year-old Zyon Webb is charged with felony automobile theft after police responded to a vehicle blocking a lane of travel while having mechanical issues. They found the 18-year-old driving a 2014 Nissan Quest registered to a Josefina Sosa. Webb told the officer he had just purchased the vehicle this morning, however, his mother was also at the scene, and she told officers Webb had no financial means to purchase a vehicle, and there’s no way this vehicle could be his. After police were able to make contact with the vehicle owner, she confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from Antioch. Webb was booked on the outstanding warrant Thursday and remains jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Teen climbs through ex-girlfriend’s window at 5 a.m. & demands she come with him at gunpoint — Bryant Enemecio Cruz-Corrales

Metro Police say 19-year-old Bryant Enemecio Cruz-Corrales often climbs through the bedroom window of his juvenile ex-girlfriend to visit her during late night and early morning hours. On November 12th at 5 a.m. court records show he once again visited her while she was sleeping, and bit her on her cheek to wake her up. He asked her to come with him to Virginia to visit his family, and when she told him no he brandished a black handgun and pointed it at her face, saying he would shoot her if she didn’t come with him. She repeatedly told him ‘no’, and he eventually left her home after multiple refusals. He remains jailed in like of a $75,000 bond, charged with aggravated burglary, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

#RoadRage: Teen charged with repeatedly punching driver who honked at green light — Dillon Kirby

19-year-old Dillon Kirby was booked this morning on an outstanding assault citation from a January assault during which he assaulted another driver in a road rage incident. When the light turned green and the vehicle Kirby was in hadn’t moved, the driver behind them honked his horn. Kirby exited from the passenger door of the vehicle, walked to the victim’s widow, and repeatedly punched the victim, Nathan Cane, in the face causing multiple injuries. Police located Kirby in the parking lot of the nearby InTown Suites and issued him a citation for assault. Kirby was ROR’d until his next court date in January.

TSU Police charge two teens with felonies for 75 grams of marijuana on campus — General Jai Lynch & Jordan Bowers

TSU Campus Police Officer responded to the back of Wilson Hall on the TSU Campus Saturday afternoon, where he says she smelled “an odor of marijuana” coming from a vehicle, which was occupied by 19-year-old General Jaire Lynch and 18-year-old Jordan Bowers. Both teens admitted to being in possession of a bag of weed and displayed them to the officers. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered one smoked blunt, one non-smoked blunt, and each teen’s bag, which all totaled 75 grams of marijuana. The teens were each charged with felony possession with intent to distribute and are free on pre-trial release.

Hillsboro High: Teen charged after trapping girlfriend in hallway, attempting sex act against her will

Police say school security video shows 18-year-old William Austin Richmond holding his girlfriend against her will, trapping her inside a vacant hallway of Hillsboro High School while attempting to get her to perform a sex act on him after she declined. He attempted to pull her into a stairwell behind a closed door as she struggled to escape. He is charged with two misdemeanors, domestic assault, and false imprisonment. He is free on a $2,000 bond.

18-year-old Cooper Knestrick is free on a $500 bond, after failing to book himself on an outstanding citation, which stated he told police “I think they put a gun in my waistband” after they responded to a robbery call during which Cooper told police he was robbed of his cell phone while buying marijuana.

Teen on 40mg Xanax, 8 shots of Captain Morgan, heists $750 of wine from Opryland Hotel

“I know I shouldn’t have done it, but I shouldn’t be this drunk either, and I am.” – those are the words of 18-year-old Jacob D. Waswick, who also told police “When you take 40 mg of Xanax, & 8 shots of Captain Morgan, and want some wine, you think… well, there’s no camera, I can jump a wall, and get into a cooler, and nobody will know.”
